I went to the last NRL game that was played at NIB. I am a WA member of one of those clubs and apparently that membership included free entry to the game. But there was a catch and that was that I had to respond to an email by the Wednesday prior to the match that I will be attending and I would get a free ticket e-mailed to me. Failure to do so would see the seat go to sale for the public.

The point is I suspect it could be happening soon to a point at AFL matches.

Good work. They should be exposed, derided and abused for being the scum that they are.

I was with 2 Freagle supporters yesterday (guests), who were told to STFU, we don't need your support.
Watch them all come out in force when we play our home final either in the second or third week in September.

They will be the ones leaving in the middle of the last quarter to beat the mad rush out of the stadium and/or the vocal-ness of us real fans is a little too much for them.

Yeah conditions were not great.

I used to judge people about not turning up as if I was a shining example of what a great supporter is. I very rarely miss a match and am lucky enough to get to 1 or 2 away games a year also, but I realise that I am very lucky having a wife that is as fanatical if not more so than me and a son that is obsessed with footy. We went on Saturday, but almost decided not to go. I looked at the weather and had second thoughts about if it was worth going to watch a game that never promised to be much of a contest. I had a bit of a cold and had been to the dentist late in the week so was not feeling great. Just as I was saying, "maybe I won't go". My son was saying "C'mon Dad, we have to go".

Plenty of empty seats around us once we got there.

I was lucky enough to get word from a friend of some empty seats in the covered area. We normally sit in block 150 and you have no protection from the weather.

I really don't get the aggro towards people that don't want to sit in the rain wearing a garbage bag to watch something that they will be able to watch in the comfort of their own homes.

My wife and I left halfway through the Hawthorn smashing in 2011 when I ripped my poncho and I just couldn't be stuffed anymore.

edit - That being said, We have both enjoyed catching up with a few BF'ers before the home games lately and that is a little bit of extra motivation to go when its a little gloomy outside.

The wife refused to walk from West Leederville to the pub in the rain .Jedi said it was a great drink up,sorry I missed it:(

Will be even better on Saturday, I will be in Subi around 10.30am.

Did spend patches of the first, second and third quarters in the BWR, was a bit superstitious in hoping Freo were ruthless as hell.

I walked in the rain and was drenched, not others cup of tea not mine either but just thought **** it. Kicked on well after the match, so was a good get together.

Well I don't go to a lot of games because Patersons Stadium facilities are crap, plus the hassle of either finding parking, or having to rush, rush to catch the "footy train", then being crammed in like sardines is not worth the hassle. I can watch the game from ALL ANGLES, sit in comfort, drink reasonably priced beer and enjoy the game at home.

Yeah I remembered you had a massive whinge about PT etc. a few years back on here and got into a few arguments.

Each to their own.

Personally I can't live without being there live and catching up with mates who I only see on footy days.

Scotch College have around 40 seats near us for their boarders. When they don't show up (like last weekend) it leaves a massive gap.
