Write up on the trade with mrpez.

Pretty straight forward really. I had added some depth to my Forwards already with Reid and Kennedy. I don't see either as likely starters for me next year to begin with, which is fine, but with my Backs I felt like I had a spot in my 'best 22' to fill. With the research I have done so far, I was confident of being able to land a few promising winger/ back flanker types early in the draft, but was prepared to trade for a quality young defender if one became available.

I believe that Langdon is such a player, and though he faded towards the end of the year, he showed enough earlier in the season for me to trade for him, believing that he has a big future ahead of him. It will be interesting how Collingwood play Langdon next year with a fit Seedsman in the team, but I expect there to be plenty of room in the team for both.

Gleeson is another Back that I have liked the look of since his debut, and I believe that he too can cement his spot in the Essendon side sooner rather than later. Gleeson has had some injury concerns though in his short career, so hopefully he can have a big pre-season.

Both these Backs may not end up better than those I have traded out in Plowman, Talia, Litherland and Wright, but time will tell. I hope I have strengthened my Back group in the off season rather than weaken it, but with Langdon being compared to Ben Hart and Gleeson to Corey Enright, both youngsters are off to a good start.

Mrpez identified that he had an abundance of young Backs, and now he has two extra top 15 picks to help him either on-trade for targeted players, or shape his squad through the draft.

This leaves the Tenderwarriors with Pick 9 and Pick 31. I decided last year to be willing to trade all my picks before the draft, and this year is no different, so if anybody would like another top 10 draft pick, let me know.

Though I am not one for spreading rumours, murmurings out of Warrior Park are that both Murdoch and Garner are open to the idea of a new home, so maybe a package including some of Garner, Murdoch, Pick 9 and Pick 31 could be of interest to somebody in a deal for a some promising young players, or a gun forward :)

Up to date with the TW/Tutty and TW/Pez deals.

Apologies for the delay but I've been off crook so im setting everything up again from home in the mean time haha

Tutty have you got a team name in mind? Also need to know your potential team colours for the draft order ;)

Hope you are feeling better soon.

The trades are not quite right, as the three players I traded to Angels are still on my list (Moore, Burbury, Wright) and I still have some of the picks on my list too that I traded to both Angels and Mrpez - I only have picks 9, 31 followed by 76 etc.

Above is a pretty straight forward trade. Though I have already landed Reid and Kennedy this trade period, I don't think that they will be regular 'best 22' players for a side hoping to play finals next year. I am predicting that I will lose both Savage and McGovern as Forwards next year, so I saw a need for somebody who could come straight in.

I think that this is me done now. I have traded out 6 players, none who I could see being best 22 locks next year, and have gained at least two 'starters' (Mayes and Langdon) and two promising youngsters who I rate higher than those I let go (Gleeson and Kennedy). Reid still has time to reach his potential. He certainly has the attributes to be a star, though I don't have high expectations, while hopefully with Pick 50 I can find a diamond in the rough!

It has been good to get my trades out of the way so soon, though I didn't think that all the completed trades would have been mine! I am happy to field any offers, but I have completed my goals for the off-season already. I might need to do some adjusting after UF release their player positions for next year, but that is a long way away..

Predicted best 22 for 2015
B: Langdon Rance O'Shea Savage McGovern Yeo
C: Heppell D.Swallow Tyson Gaff Whitfield
R: Lobbe Hickey
F: T.Lynch Carlisle D.Smith Mayes T.Lynch Broomhead
U: Cunnington Guthrie Bellchambers

Depth
B: Webster Johannisen Gleeson Mullett Duryea Williams Jaksch Pick 50?
C: Lloyd Hrovat A.Young O'Rourke
R: Longer Gorringe Redden
F: Reid J.Murdoch Crozier Kennedy Garner Kersten B.Johnson M.Shaw

Hopefully next year I will have plenty of depth, with plenty of players to choose from instead of just picking players because they are playing! To play finals for most teams is something to expect, but for the Warriors it would be a major stepping stone. At this stage I am quite bullish, but this league seems to get harder every year, so who really knows what will happen!

Its certainly an impressive lineup TW, with great depth in each position. I haven't seen much of McGovern, but do you think he's going to get back eligibility?
Cheers for the compliment, it has taken a fair amount of mental energy to sort out the jigsaw pieces, but that is what makes the game so interesting to me.
Re McGovern, unfortunately I think he will be a B, as his value to UF (and me!) is much higher if he plays forward. He played CHB for WCE after Glass retired, and from what I can tell, played like a boss. With Lycett, Darling and Kennedy up forward, it seems it is where the Eagles will look to play him. Best case is that he is named as a Back for UF purpose, and plays CHF for Eagles :)

I have good depth, but not the best collection of absolute stars, so next year the hope is to change a few if my B grade players into A grade ones. Firstly through natural improvement, but if that doesn't work, through multi player trades.

I had 6 players named in the All Australian u23 team though, so I am heading in the right direction :)

Same with me and Frawley. I don't expect him to be playing both possies next year.

I think we are up to date.

tenderwarrior you've been on top of things so feel free to pull me up again haha

Tough crowd this year. Lots of people sitting and waiting for the trade/FA window. Early December could get pretty hectic I think ;)
