I'm thinking of going FROM Carlton TO afl. This year I think I went to about 30 games and I missed a month of footy, so I think it'd be worth it.

But I'm only doing it if it counts towards our tally, and I'll still buy the 5 other memberships I get for my family every year.

My Social Club Gold just rolls over, so I hope I'm part of the 53.

I can't understand why people would buy a membership of the corrupt AFL instead of Carlton directly, regardless of the privileges.

It just frustrates me. Every year people at work are going on about how they got a GF ticket because they're an AFL member. If your team isn't there, neither should you. It just adds to the problem.

I support Carlton, not the league.

I'm a footy fan, and a Carlton fan. If an AFL membership means I get to see more footy, then I'm going to get one.

Being a Carlton member doesn't stop you from going to the footy to see any game you like.

I am still pissed off that the club "didn't have time" to organise a function in Adelaide for the last match of the round (and only match in Adelaide) this year

I'm not suggesting you don't support the club (though you might follow the Crows next year ) , it's just a personal thing. I'd never sign up as an AFL member on principle.
