NFL 2014 NFL Draft

Fitzpatrick will do a better job than any of these QBs. May as well wait until next year's draft. We don't have better options for other positions of need hence filling them with draft. Having said that they may still take a QB or trade for Mallett.

I'd be interested to see how McCarron goes, but if he's slid this far pretty obvious he's not rated by anyone. Not really interested in any of the others still in there.

Dri Archer goes to the Steelers with their third round compensatory pick. Quite high for Archer if you compare most mock drafts. Steelers must love his big-play ability and top-end speed.

They wont love him when he turns the ball over and he has one of the worst records for all the RB's in the draft at turning over the pill.

Tomlin will not put up with that at all.

Comparison between the BF mock draft and the real draft for rounds 2-3.

! In both the mock draft and the real draft, the Seahawks traded their pick to the Vikings.

Rapt with our 1st Rd selection and about time JJ listens to his college scouts and did not get a head rush and select Manziel which would of had me irate. Honestly i like all the 1st rd picks from all teams and everyone did well.

Our OL is looking very strong now which helps Romo and Murray heaps. In a deep defensive draft like this is i am rapt we took one the highest OL rated as they get thin from here on in.

Now for the defense in the next rounds!!

Did he though?

'The Cowboys decided to pass on Manziel, but it wasn't an easy decision. Owner Jerry Jones admitted to reporters Friday that Manziel was the highest-rated player on the Cowboys' board at the time. NFL Media's Albert Breer reports that the Cowboys discussed drafting Manziel while they were on the clock at No. 16.
Ultimately, Jones said, the Cowboys just had too much invested in Tony Romo. That's largely because of Jones' self-inflicted salary cap woes, which forced his hand in Romo's last contract to the tune of $55 million guaranteed.'

Got to love Jerry. Even when he's right, he's wrong.

Houston Texans A grade draft, I think they have got 3 first round talents in Clowney, Sua Filo and Nix 111. And Fioderwicz (so) is a good pick up at tight end.

If they can find someone to have a solid year under centre they will definitely be following KC and Indy by finishing last last year and making the playoffs next.

Their next pick isnt till 135 so i doubt mccaron will be there...maybe savage?

maybe they trade a 2015 2nd for mallet or cousins.

I also love what the Raiders, Broncos, Rams and ravens have done

Absolutely… so it's a bewildering 'reach' pick indeed.

Only UPSIDE.. Speed Demon personified having the second fastest 40-yard dash time in NFL Scouting Combine history (4.21). McCluster hasn't really torched it for all the hoop-la he brought in and was indeed traded..

I was actually surprised the Steelers 'reached' here for a STer who they need but with a 6'3" WR from Clemson still available, Martevis Bryant who was amongst the faster WR in this years class… to overlook him (projected 2-3 rounder) was quite PuZzliNg to say the least. :drunk::confused:

What do you love about what we have done?

Got your secondary to an elite level, I think Roby is a ball hawk and with one side of the field covered, roby will be a good fit at CB.

Lattimer one of the type WR's in the draft and is a good number 2 to thomas.

And you added to you offensive line which needed depth.

Dri Archer goes to the Steelers with their third round compensatory pick. Quite high for Archer if you compare most mock drafts. Steelers must love his big-play ability and top-end speed.

Speed is the 'Buzz word' in the War Room it seems. Shazier has it in spades and Tuitt hopefully can contribute in an alarming way that forces the QB to make a hasty decision.

Agree.

You can never say for sure that Archer still would of been on the board come your pick in the later rounds but the chances were mighty bloody high i reckon and he has been an estimated 5th to 8th Rd pick depending which team wanted to roll the dice on him and his ball security is what saw his projections plummet. He speed is awesome though and has massive X factor written all over him!!

I like the pick just not in the 3rd Rd.

Steelers ST has been a severe weakness for many campaigns… addressing this in the third round with a curveball pick because as you stated.. you just never know how soon the next team snaffles this speed demon but sheesh.. how quick will he land in the doghouse if he can't hold the ball?? this is one of those GG 'chandelier swinging' special picks..

So much to digest for a Browns supporter. I love all the picks so far. However the Josh Gordon news puts a massive cloud over the whole draft. I think there is still a small chance that it's not a year long suspension like the media are reporting. Perhaps it's only a 6 game. On the bright side the Browns will never need to pay him the money his play might deserve.

Still soft in the middle.
I won't grade us until i see how we address the ILB positionposition

I wonder who the Redskins were targeting by trading down (Tuitt - picked one pick prior?). Long I'm not sure about as Yankey seems to have been rated higher by most experts. Not expecting a flashy draft, but I'm hoping the Redskins got it right.

Underwhelmed with our picks. If Sua'filo was still on the board I doubt we would have traded pick 40.
Yup. That OT pick is bizarre. Trust in PCJS to be sure but gee, he's been projected in the 7th round by all and sundry...

Really need to address the line still. Right now we're projecting Okung-Carp-Unger-Sweezy-Bailey which makes me all kinds of nervous. Should have taken Sua'filo for RG.

Surprised the Browns haven't taken a WR yet. In saying that, could it be that they're awaiting the next batch of roster cuts / fall out so they can snaffle an experienced WR or promising second year player in the FA agency? That's where I believe there are going to find Manziel some diamonds in the dust… how else did they Josh Gordon? (r2 supplemental draft of '12) ;)
