52,505 very big crowd and they will always have more potential to do that when they can sell a quarter of the stadium over and over again. Having the hill as our only GA area limits us.

Why is our admin that incompetent that they do not oversell the stadium like Port do???????

They just announced the crowd and it is 52,505, another new record crowd for AFL Footy in SA, why the hell can we not get our 50,000 crowds up to 52,000 as the bandwagoners can?????

Surely next year, we have to sell guest passes in the Western stand for every game!

I don't understand how we supposedly have a 70/30 supporter split, sell as many GA tickets as them, and can't crack 51k

Do we deliberately undersell games??

The West stand is oversubscribed as it is.

Happy my club values patron comfort over pathetic dick measuring contests

You have to remember all of the GA seats they have, the whole northern end including the bays and top quarter of the eastern and southern stands. They sell a lot more GA tickets, their supporters know no matter what the weather if they get there early enough they will get a seat under cover. To go to our games you have to book almost 2 weeks out or know you will be on the hill. Same with our 3 game members, you know your not buying a seat with us.

That said surely we need to keep GA sales open longer.

The Western stand gets bad enough as it is, if they oversold guest passes any more it would be a nightmare..
I've known of various games of ours where people have had to find somewhere to stand as they couldn't get a seat.. And it's an area that isn't cheap like the hill etc where you expect it and the poor view..

Carlton have played Port into form and with no Fyfe and Barlow next week plus Port having a two day extra break I can see Port winning next week to get 4th. Our first final (if we make it) could be against Freo in Perth...

Spot on - the move to AO hasn't been as joyous for the old SANFL members. You need to get there 2 hours before the game to get a seat.

It used to be a nice perk to be able to take guests, however the overselling has put paid to that.

Long way to go - be very surprised if Freo drop a one at home in their current form.

Tonight was training drill opposition - big difference

They also have the cheapest memberships in the competition, even cheaper than the Bulldogs, Saints, Kangaroos etc and likely one of the bigger marketing budgets. They will want to have this form when it's time to switch to money making making mode rather than promotion mode or they could be in trouble.

There is no doubting that AO has been great for both clubs though, I wouldn't go back.

Just one little factor, it's in Perth. Freo will still win, have people suddenly forgot how good they were last week? I would have thought Freo will get a nice percentage booster themselves against the Lions.

Carlton have been diabolical.. Melbourne at their rabble worst style..
And that has nothing to do with not wanting to give Port credit.. (Brisbane was to thank for our demolition job on them 2 weeks ago too)
Training drills are harder than this, the cones are at least colourful and might put you off..
