Chatting to a mate yesterday who's a long-standing Port fan. Nice bloke though. Possibly the only one.

Anyway, he finally got a gap in his work schedule and went to his first game at AO. Took the wife and stood on the hill, right in front of the walkway. Halfway through the second term, the group of blokes behind him starting pissing on the ground. He turned around and offered to step out of their way so they could get through and head to the loos. "Sorry mate. We're happy here". Andy (my mate) then pointed out the family sitting about a metre to their left. "Why don't you turn around and watch the footy dickhead?" He said they could stand the smell until half time then they left, disgusted. And they're not going back.

Looks like the scarf thing and the song thing aren't the only things the PAPs are copying from soccer.
Unacceptable behaviour. Why didn't someone call security and have them thrown out?

Geez, touchy much? It wasn't you was it?

No, my point was my mate is no longer going to the footy based on that behaviour. And that it's a very EPL-type behaviour, along with the scarves and song.
He didn't go anyway, as you said it was his first game of the season, Friday night, last game against top opposition. This is the prime bandwagoner.
The others were dh's clearly but it looks like your mate was finding plenty of excuses not to go beforehand as well.

Sounds like the time I took my 102 yo great granny to the Crows game and had to sit on the hill.... Two guys took a dump in her handbag and another supporter stole her gopher and robbed three servos.... The crows lost though, so it was a good day.

Comes onto my clubs board for a look, finds more PAP supporters here than Crows.

Sorry, I must be on the wrong board. I'll just pop over the the Adelaide board to read a couple of threads.

Yep we have a really bad infestation of Paps again, time for the old heave ho!!

Probably because it didn't happen.
i've seen both sets of supporters do similar things. we can't claim the higher ground here at all

also, smoking seems to be an accepted thing on the hill (not that i care because i am a smoker, but i've found it surprising how little ****s are given to this)

Oh no guiz! How dare us pesky plastic, apricot-slice loving, know-nothing Cowz fans have a discussion on our own board that disputes the narrative and myth of the “almoity, bestest eva 1870, creed-living” Port Perz fan! Dey r Paht Adeledz so dey da bestest EVA!!! It's not like they have multiple threads on their own board which frequently reference similar anti-AFC supporter stories:rolleyes:.

Sorry to have to break it to you. True story as it was told to me.

Anyhoo - Stabby's given it the 'move along folks' so:

You reckon the AFL is terrified of lawsuits coming from Essendon players about doping? How about when players start suing for mismanagement of their injuries?

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-08-26/excat-egan-sues-over-injury

FORMER Geelong player Matthew Egan is suing over the treatment of a foot injury that ended his career in 2007.

Egan filed a writ in the Supreme Court on Tuesday claiming damages and costs for alleged negligent treatment by Geelong doctor Chris Bradshaw and orthopedic surgeon Mark Blackney.
