Straight sets for Freo I reckon..
Nah. Reckon they can win next week at home
McPharlin should return next week
If they could somehow in on Saturday.... but i find that so unlikely

Freo in red hot form right now, been managed beautifully. I think a solid hit out last week helps them, whereas Syd flirted with form big time.Nah. Reckon they can win next week at home

My thinking too. Looks like they plan on using Zac Clarke as a defender with Griffin coming in.I just can't see how they'll contain their talls
Buddy, Tip, Reid, Goodes. Parker, McGlynn, Jack and Hannebery around the contest. I can't see how they may stop them from scoring....
No McPharlin or Johnson. They'll have Dawson and Silvagni as their talls. I can't see them winning
Freo flirted with their form more in R23 last year & didn't harm them in the finals...Freo in red hot form right now, been managed beautifully. I think a solid hit out last week helps them, whereas Syd flirted with form big time.
Port were in early season form last week, but Freo rag dolled them with the 9-0 blitz. Plus they dismissed Hawthorn just 3 weeks ago. They are good at the right time - very good

Jones won it and Frawley came 8th I think.I guess Nathan Jones won it??
Out of interest where did the much touted $700+K man Frawley finish??
if you're happy with the way the group as a whole plays for each other that's your problem. Are you actually saying that AFC players don't support each other on the field physically? What do you want them to do exactly - act like a bunch of amateurs by the sound of it.
Dangerfield didn't get smashed, he ran into Gia who barely bumped him for eff's sake ... and watching the replay I thought the response was about right by the other players.

You referring to our playing group as GUTLESS WONDERS, is still utter trash-talk rubbish.

I'm not launching personal attacks on every individual, we've got some great guys for sure, but as a collective we've been one of the softest teams in the comp for years. You can argue the toss about appropriate remonstrations all you like but how about you go check our tackle numbers for the past 10 years if you think we have a hard and tough footy side.
I knew I'd get quoted before my edit went through lol
This is one of the great myths in AFL. Everytime I see Sydney in the wet, they struggle which has been the case for quite a few years now.My thinking too. Looks like they plan on using Zac Clarke as a defender with Griffin coming in.
Freo will hoping for it to bucket down with rain & turn into a slog fest... but Sydney are good at that too!

its not trash talk rubbish either, I'll support this team to the end of the earth but when criticism is deserved I'll deliver it bluntly and truthfully no matter how harsh it is. We have the potential, our win over Collingwood at AO is the prime example, but to turn up like that 3 times a year just isn't good enough and I won't make any apologies for that.
Well now if you don't think we tackle well, I'd agree with that, but the idea we are gutless wonders is what I had the problem with.
Happy to move on DD, I hear what you are saying ... just don't agree that our hardness / softness is a problem like you do.
West Coast are just the WA version of us. Not particularly surprising.adam simpson has been re-signed by west coast..
it appears token resignings aren't just an adelaide thing
Is Harry O the biggest douche in the league? I think yes.
Doesn't seem to be able to take anything in his stride. Everything blows up into a massive issue and soapbox opportunity.

Also I've made the point previously that really it's only 'out there' nutballs who change their names. Lake, Rooke, O'Brien... all weirdos. Then Alex is on fire pointed out that I'd changed my name on here. That shut me up.
