Crikey, now that is what you call ruthless. And with 2 years left on his contract too!

Got to hand it to Radelaide and the new CEO, they're not going to accept mediocrity at least.

Meanwhile.... #wceinspire
They've been mediocre for 16 years.

Haha. :( could say the same about us though probably not for quite as long
In the crows case , even longer if you consider that their flags were won from mediocrity (low home and away finishes ) but in fairness they were very good sides in 05/06 (1x minor premiership and 1x second in the home and away season ), we just happened to match up better ;). Interestingly they had a great record against Sydney

I like to think that we nicked off with their 2006 flag. My Crows supporting mates agree with me on that.

What do people think about Sam Blease? Yay or Nah.

I'd like to see us go for a proven midfielder in his mid 20's but I'd have him for a round 4.
I'm interested. We've had a hit and a miss from the Demons over the last couple of years (Hit: Bennell / Miss: Morton), and Blease was reportedly highly regarded by WC in the 2008 draft (equal to Shuey was my understanding), so I'd back in our development staff to give him a lifeline.

Has pace to burn and likes a goal.

My opinion of the development staff is that they stink , no rising star nominees for so long now back in rd19 2011 Andrew Gaff .

Rising star nominations are not the be all and end all of development.

How would you rate the progress of McGovern of Lycett this season for example?

Is that a result of who we have drafted or how they are developed? I'd argue that several of the younger guys looked better this year (Gaff, Sheppard, Cripps, Lycett, McGovern)...

We haven't had that many highly rated juniors since Gaff due to the expansion clubs dilution of the draft pool so it was always going to be hit and miss for a couple of years imo.

No, we were the best team in both home and away and finals in 06 despite the 1 pt margin
Swans nicked away with the 05 flag

In light of Adelaidde's bold move to replace Sanderson, it begs the question: should we consider doing the same with Simpson?

Our season was a MASSIVE disappointment, even moreso than the crows. Simpson has looked all at sea at times this season and it is highly doubtful that he is the man to take us to our next flag.

The crows seem poised to swoop on Goodwin, one of their own who is loved, admired and respected at the club. Seemingly, we will have a similar opportunity presented to us with Bluey McKenna possibly departing the Suns.

If the opportunity presents itself, will our club be bold enough to do what Adelaide has done and cut our losses with a suspect coach who is still seen as outsider and has failed to deliver the expected results?

Regardless, they should never have let that prelim slip. I still give my mates shit over it.

There's bold moves, and there's plain stupidity. Sacking Simpson after one season would fall under the latter

Perhaps not as much as hiring him in the first place?

Based on our failure to secure a finals birth this year, at least...

Did Simmo shag your sister or something? No idea why you dislike him so much. Not many thought we would make finals this year anyway.

Absolutely ridiculous to be saying we should sack Simpson, after one season, where he signed on mid trade week and had no say in recruiting/trading/ de-listing, of a side who finished 13th. How was he meant to make us dominate in his first year with all that against him. Plus he had a fair few injuries of key players for large parts of the season. Give him at least another year to see what he can do. Also on a side note had we not choked against the blues, pies, bombers and kicked straight against freo twice and port, we would have been close to top 4 and we woul all be singing Simpsons praises.

And here lies the heart of your problem me thinks, you're xenophobic about anyone outside the club taking over

Mick Malthouse was once an outsider, how about we give Simpson more than just one year before we be melodramatic and sack him.

That damn suspect outsider Simpson cost us a finals place 2 years in a row!

Oh wait...

I'm sorry, but you're one of the dumbest campaigners I have ever seen. God.

Rising Star, like all other voted awards, is dominated by midfielders. It's no surprise that the last nominee we had was Gaff.

In reality we've developed some great key position players the last few years but haven't recruited or developed elite tyro midfielders.
