Yep they are on the way down, although they now have two tall forwards in Hawkins and Clark so could could be thereabouts, but if something's happens to Hawkins they are screwed, bottom 4 screwed.I recon Geelong are going to be in trouble next year. Travis Varcoe, Tom Lonergan and Allen Christensen could all be leaving Geelong during this trade period. That's 3 players easily in their best 22. Not including Lonergan they have 8 players over 30 in their squad, and we know only too well how quickly some players can drop off towards the end of their career. I've been a fan of the way Geelong play, but I think they only need a few things to go against them next year to see them have a season similar to ours in 2008.

I wouldn't put too much hope in Clark either. Hasn't played much footy for a while, and hasn't been in the same type of competitive environment where the symptoms of his illness became apparent. Hope he plays ok next year (except against us of course) but I wouldn't be betting on itYep they are on the way down, although they now have two tall forwards in Hawkins and Clark so could could be thereabouts, but if something's happens to Hawkins they are screwed, bottom 4 screwed.

Patfull is a very good player, think that's a great piece of business by GWS.Joel Patfull for pick 21
This is a 30 year old for an early second round draft pick. Sure a very solid player, but it shows opportunities are out there.
On that deal gws would give us coniglio for a 29yo reigning brownlow medallist
Draft picks don't mean much to GWS anymore - they get so many. We could easily get a first round pick off them if Priddis wanted to go there, but he doesn't.Joel Patfull for pick 21

Then why did you take all the injections mate?
Yep. Sounds like he was a legend
Half the comp is a rabble at the moment with off field issues. Its great to be out of it (knocks on wood).
Hopefully our stability pays off with a big improvement next year
