Plenty of options for them, Wright, Durdin and Marchbank might be available at their first pick (maybe Lever as well), along with Keitel, McKenzie and Cripps later on.

Haters going to hate. Ignore them. That's what I mean, we all know he played shit, and that he had limited game time, why stick the boot in.........well I guess I already know the answer to that. Just pisses me off, and it shouldn't. Just Freo fans being Freo fans I guess, 20 years of nothing but bitterness & hatred towards big brother will do that to a person![]()

On the Dayle Garlett subject, where are all those people who said West Coast were absolute fools to overlook him and that type of conservative outlook was why our club was shit? Looking like a solid decision to me.
When have you ever seen a grab like this in the AFL?How do you think this compares to AFL catches? I would say above average but certainly not the "best ever".
What do you think?
17 other clubs decided to overlook him as well. It's not as if WC made a genius decision to do it or anything.

Yeah, you see some pretty amazing catches in cricket, but it's easier catching a cricket ball than a footballThere's been some similar ones in cricket, but not top level AFL.
Shocking news, hoping that he is able to make a full recovery...Sometimes I feel like sports is my life. Hearing about Phil Hughes puts sport in perspective. Hope he's alright. Also Abbott too.

A-penis no good?Freo need to draft a gun young KPF and or mature KPP to come in and make an immediate impact. Once Pav, McPharlin retire they are screwed.

A fair bit of hatred over on the purple board towards Nic's IR gameI mean I know he did next to nothing, but when there are only a handful or ruck contests in the entire game, not sure what else he could do, and the fact he played pretty limited game time didn't help. I for one am glad he didn't get injured, and couldn't care less how many stats he got.
Bring back state of origin I say. Have it played the Friday night before the grand final. So Fyfe to miss 6 - 10 weeks. Bloody IR games, this is why clubs don't want state of origin, which would actually be good to see, but the risks are just to great these days. Sucks for him, and freo, but I guess at least it's getting fixed now, and not happening during the season. I'm no Freo fan, but I don't like to see good players injured, especially in meaningless games. If it were Nic we would all be raging!!
Thing I found interesting was, they said he can't run for about a month after the surgery, surley you could run a bit without it doing any damage??
That wouldn't work at all.Bring back state of origin I say. Have it played the Friday night before the grand final.![]()

Rotate it around. That wouldn't work at all.
For a start you're excluding players from the two best teams so a good half dozen or more players are automatically out.
Sides that miss finals routinely send players off for surgery on niggling injuries so they'd be out also
And GF week has it's own allure so the SOO would get lost amongst the hype of the games biggest prize
Also have the perennial SOO problem that there are too many states that play AFL - WA/SA/ Vic don't go into 2 which is the main reason why the league series has thrived - just two states
Players from the GF teams should have to play or risk suspension, wouldn't be fair otherwise. Even better if the game was the curtain raiser for the GF.That wouldn't work at all.
