I think if we pushed hard enough, Brisbane would have taken pick 30 (or whatever it was) for Yeo and therefore we wouldn't have needed to trade down from pick 6

Nope. Both 28 and 31 were better than Freo's pick but we offered 28 anyway.

Who knows. Hypotheticals probably aren't worth doing when we have him anyway.
Hypothetically we could have got him in the pre season draft. He nominated us.
The 2 Collingwood picks, 6 (and 10 which they refused to give vs pick 11) will be where the next set of could haves will come from.
Brisbane & Stkilda have thrown their draftees right into the thick of it. We haven't with Sheed as Simpson was clinging to some hope our senior mids were capable. Sheed may as well come in and play every game now.
