Sounds like there was a known risk of this going into the preseason, wonder if that affected our willingness to trade picks?
No more so than Scharenberg wasn't the type of player we were after at this point in time.
If he'd been what we were after then I'm sure we would've selected him.
Pre-injury he was considered a likely top 2 pick.
Collingwood can afford for him to take 12+ months getting better (and any club taking him would've anticipated that).
