Given the pompous nature of a few of those who said we should ignore the issues and draft him anyway because of his talent, don't expect them to admit they are wrong any time soon.

Is there more to this or what? Kind of strange, surely the place he'd be most comfortable is on a ground with the ball in hand.

For the record, I'm not totally writing him off. I never have - he's super talented. I have however stressed major concerns with him and protested those that glossed over them.

Just needs to look as far as Walters from Freo on how to turn things around, but the balls in his court to make that effort.

I thought the article showed him in a decent light.obviously confronting some of the issues he has

Gumblton out for 12 weeks! Poor bloke.

Thats ****ed.

Has spent his career at 2 of my 3 most hated clubs but if anyone deserves a bit of good luck its gumbleton. From everything I've read he's a ripping bloke and works his arse off to get fit but his body just fails him. Has a fair bit of talent too.

If he somehow made it to the podium on GF day to receive a premiership medal it would be a small ray of sunshine on an otherwise dismal day

Hopefully it'll be at this third club. ;)

Would cancel out Ballantynes medal

GWS looked very slick tonight.
If they can translate into the actual season I wouldn't be expecting them to be in the bottom 2 or so teams this year.

It's their natural progression as their kids develop, they have a serious arsenal of good young mids and tall forwards. If they can start to develop a few key backs they and Gold Coast will take some beating in the coming years.

Hey guys ,

Not really sure were to post so just decided to come here , just wondering if there is any chance to get tickets round 1 vs the doggies ? I know I've left this pretty late , but just found out i ll be in the WA at the time .

Not sure but I think you can get general admission tickets from the ticketmaster website on the Monday before the game (or was it two Mondays before?). Maybe try and ring Bulldogs/WCE admin (or email/check ticketmaster website) just to be sure though, it's their job to know these things.

Two Mondays before the game. They usually sell out quickly, but if you are on when it opens you usually get tickets. If you are a club member ring your club as they will have an allocation.

So the Essendon 14 have been named, some big names in that list

Essendon players:
Jobe Watson
Dyson Heppell
Michael Hurley
Michael Hibberd
Tom Bellchambers
Tayte Pears
Jake Melksham
Heath Hocking
Kyle Hardingham
Alex Browne

Others:
Stewart Crameri (Western Bulldogs)
Ricky Dyson (Bundoora)
Sam Lonergam (Glenelg)
Scott Gumbleton (Fremantle)

Is it just me or does it seem like everyone but west coast players are dropping like flies this year?

Also, that's 2000 posts. Wow, ok. I'd like to thank the academy, my mum, game day threads, swift, #returnthewings, sacking woosh, Matt Priddis, Norf, all that injury ranting, and the Naitanui is many things thread. May we all waste many more days writing crapy posts that only a few people might read and even less appreciate!

Boy gee wowie isn't this getting interesting?

Was thinking this earlier. The best in the compe aren't as good as they were last season (Pav, Sandi, Goodes ect all on the last few legs), Buddy is gone from Hawks to a team where I think he'll at the least be in a different role and the way he's just spent time in the gym all summer means he's not as agile as previous. Geelong are cooked, Pies aren't what they used to be.
