Would have to be gradual, they need to allow the swans time to adjust future contracts downwards to keep under the cap.

It's a good thing they don't have any really long term large contracts on their books or anything......

They are already under the cap. The players just get less (or no CoLA) in addition to their contracts. They will still phase it out, but there are no cap issues to consider for Sydney. They will however have to deal with players who were expecting to get CoLA on top if their contract. Buddy was well aware that CoLA was no guarantee beyond the first year of his deal.

What sort of player is Harry?

I do wonder with this no COLA business we could sway Mitchell home? He will become a pretty good player and i can see him commanding more in the coming years.

Tom Mitchell? I don't think he has many ties to WA. I would be keen to pick up Jordan Lockyer cheaply though. His old man played for the club and he played with Adam Carter, Murray Newman, Fraser McInness, Brandt Colledge and Elliot Yeo in the u18 days - so he may be open to moving back.

I think he will be the next Judd/Ablett in years to come. Even if we have to give up someone like Lycett to get him i'd be having a look at it. He'd be a hard get though, but worth it in the long run imo.

All we need is a Twigley-esque situation where Channel 7 offers Jaegers g/f a job over here, and we can lure him back ala Judd to carlton.

Wanted him as a midfielder. We got Colledge with the pick afterwards and he looks like he's heading down the midfield route.
