North have no decent, consistent tall forwards, so if Petrie isn't firing, or Black, they're basically stuffed. It shouldn't be up to the smallest guy on their team to kick all their goals, and their structure sucked. It's no wonder they couldn't keep up after chasing the opposition for four quarters. If you don't have targets, and don't hit them, you spend all your time trying to recover the ball, which wastes energy. Brad Scott has no idea, never has.

You have no structure when your two key talls - Petrie and Black only combine for a total of one goal and six marks (none of which were inside 50).
Outside of Thomas (who had 3 marks inside 50) only Adams had a mark inside 50.
Four marks inside 50 is insanely bad.

Absolutely, you could see every time they went forward there was no one inside 50 of a decent size to kick to, they just had to bomb it and hope for a Thomas miracle mark. They looked very badly coached, like Collingwood last week.

Dont think you can really blame the talls there kicking inside 50 was absolute rubbish. Kennedy and cloke would of struggled with that service

You can if they're not there to receive the kick. As EP mentioned previously they only took 4 marks inside 50 and not one of them was a tall target. Their structure let them down big time last night.
