If Josh Kelly's Dad played more games for East Perth could he have been a father son pick up?

Nope, our period of eligibility is over now. It's only sons of Eagles players now.

How were his skills this week? Looked a massive butcher last week.
Better, slowly easing into the increased intensity.

Makes some really nice kicks, mostly forward of centre. Definitely stand by my pre draft position that if we didn't take Sheed I would be happy with Dunstan.

Kelly looked excellent btw, better and stronger than expected. Gaff like class on the outside, but a better handball and actually very good in traffic, strong at the contest and hungry to tackle.

Look what pissant Adelaide have managed to put together for their footy teams in a few short years..and here We are still thousands and thousands of people on a waiting list for memberships and a footy ground that barely meets standards anymore. And we're supposed to be the richest state and one of the richest clubs. It's utter bullshit.

Every time someone mentioned the new stadium there are numpties saying 'No! They should be spending the money on more hospitals!' FFS

Yep the fluffing about over a proper sports stadium in this state is a disgrace. A failing of both sides of government

I've been living in Melbourne for 7 years now and every time we go back to Perth for a game it blows me away how its still not done..and how behind we are. Kudos to little Adelaide for having big fat balls and just getting it done.

Wait awhile.

Look, the libs should never have changed the location. They also wasted a shit tonne up north, on uneeded port expansions and infrastructure upgrades the big miners didn't want, nor will use. But construction dollars fund campaigns and offer jobs post political exit.

They also wanted to string it out, to use it as an election issue.

You get who and what you voted for I suppose.

They should be, or something else, because at least it will get done.

WA needs the cash injection into public transport. Given how much the libs have stuffed up the stadium issue and the states finances, more than ever the focus should be on the essentials. Otherwise, you can wait another half a decade plus for one of the most unnecessarily expensive stadiums in the world, whilst the state finances continue to slide.

I know, my hubby has been in mining and gas all his life over there, he knows exactly the digusting amounts of money wasted on projects that will never be needed. Something will always come before the stadium whether its hospitals, roads, public transport or elections. Time to just hang it all and get it done like Adelaide has managed to in what 5 short years!..that whole precinct around the Swan river should be a showcase on a par with Sydney Harbour..Perth is the nicest city in Australia and yet the most under utilised.

Anyway blah blah I'm venting and we all know this and the politics involved but it makes me angry and sad when I see how every other state has managed to provide world class facilities and beautiful grounds for their teams and we're still stuck in the 80's.

Not sure whether the problem has been one mans political ambitions (Barnett), or the draw of one mans dollars (Packer), either way they have made an expensive, drawn out mess.

I would say spend the money on lite rail, because a 1+ billion stadium end up causing a few regrets, but then again I am a Victorian, who can choose between the G and Etihad.

As for non Eagles, gee the loss of Ebert is frustrating.

Adelaide oval was already there though. Its just been improved.
Cost over half a billion dollars though and they till managed to push through red tape and get it done very quickly.

True but it still took them 3 years with an already existing ground. Ours will be 5 years from a clean slate that needs more than just the stadium itself. There are a hundred things being built/redeveloped in WA at the same time too which has to be factored in.
