Is Melbourne playing any better or is it just their opposition kicking poorly? Both of their wins this year were lucky and it looks like it will happen again.

Well, even when opposition were kicking poorly last year, Melbourne were still getting smashed. They're obviously playing a lot better this year. Last year they were probably the worst side easily, now they're at least level with the other bottom 4 sides.

Ironic that Richmond's kicking against Geelong last week kept them in the game (even if they didn't end up wining it ) , whilst their kicking this game might just end up losing them the game! I don't have a soft spot for Melbourne and never will , but them winning will be better for us than Richmond so go Demons

They've been irrelevant for 30 years but still their fans soldier on somehow. Made finals last year only to lose to 9th and are now 2-7 this season.

I don't want to so maybe that's why I agree with those reasons but have a few more

D) lack of innovation compared to other poor Melbourne sides along with the assistance they get in comparison to the poor non-Vic sides like Brisbane

For me their irrelevance will turn to hate but only if they beat us /have the wood over us and do more than make the 8 ie make GFs and Premierships at a time when we're succesful too . I don't hate successful teams unless they got there through a very unfair advantage and at our expense (in this case , would be tanking /assistance )
