Port: I hate Port more than Sydney
Hawthorn: They won last year
Geelong: Sick of Geelong winning
Fremantle: WA would be hell for months

Re: Port- Because they tend to beat us ? I'd be ok with them winning as their last and only flag was still longer ago than ours . Ebert leaves a bit of a bitter taste. I don't hate either of Sydney and Port , but I used to like Sydney slightly more due to the mid2000s rivalry but since Tippett/Buddy and the lopsided results , the gloss has worn off
Agree about Hawks and Geelong
Freo - it has to happen sooner or later , I'd rather it be in a year like this when we're not serious contenders! Plus I'm a west Aussie and don't hate Freo anyway so am happy to wish them well when we're not playing them, if them winning is not at our expense realistically speaking

Some other options
Collingwood! - go pies ...( would be more genuine if it wasn't for 010 still being pretty recent , and their record against us. , plus Buckley/Eddie. I like MM. I otherwise don't mind the club and team and they are one of my favourite Vic teams )
Gold Coast - era too soon, if they win this year , watch out
North - pity about Scott and a few of their players + minimalistic attitude , as they're otherwise likeable and it's been a while since their last flag .

Anyway , my order from most to least preferred-
Freo, North , Port, Collingwood , Gold Coast , Sydney, Geelong, Hawthorn
roughly follows time since last premiership with Gold Coast the obvious exception purely because them winning this year would signal an era even longer and scarier than we would ever have imagined , this roughly follows time since last premiership (Geelong being ranked lower than Sydney because it's 3 to 2 recent premierships but unlike Hawks they aren't reigning premiers)

Melbourne played well just ran out of puff in the last. What a difference Roos has made! Compared to last year - huge improvement.
Liked the Melbourne jumper too by the way.
