Geelong away for them will be the key to it all. I expect them to deal with Hawthorn at home, and their game against Port they will win if Port have top 2 sewn up and send their B team over in preparation for finals.
If Port have top two sewn up by then, I don't think Freo will be playing for the other spot because I have Sydney locked in. Sydney and Port have been the two best sides this year, and barring a terrible injury run (ala Hawthorn), I can't see them being dislodged from the top two. I did a ladder prediction and I had Hawthorn finishing second and Sydney third, but I didn't take the Hawks' injuries into account so I would swap those two around. I think Hawthorn, if they get their personnel back, will be the best side going into finals.

Gotta love how AFL work with Essendon to try to get off their drugs mishaps and in the process allowed the whole thing to almost certainly get thrown out in court (intentionally or unintentionally, its up to the conspiracy theorists).

But they were happy to throw us under the bus during our scandals.

Hello everyone, let me start by saying I have serious reservations of about using this as a way to pass an external message but... I got to raise awareness for a teammate.

Not sure if anyone has seen it on the news the past three days on Channel 7 & 9, but a teammate of mine playing for Canning Vale in a amateurs match on the weekend vs Coolbinia West Perth was involved in a sickening accident. Was going to pick up the ball and an opposing player clean connected with his head and caused spinal injuries, ribs, collarbone. We're trying to raise money for his medical bills that will be hefty and are throwing a fundraiser this coming Saturday.

There's a hashtag #doitfordamo & there's a facebook page called 'Donations for Damo'

Thanks for reading and (sorry for being a Freo fan jumping on this board, but just wanted to spread a word)

Richmond smacking Sydney.

Everything falling into place for Freo to finish top 2. That means we're gonna have another week of end of September pain.

And personally, I wish we could beat a good team once in a while.....
Sydney will still win

I wouldn't be worried. Freo won't beat any of Port, the Hawks or Sydney.

Umps just crushed Richmond. Terrible game of footy to watch.
Richmond crushed Richmond, so much possession, did nothing with it. What was it, 37 inside 50s from 401 touches? Not good enough.

Haha yeah there was that too. But the non holding the ball against Richards when Pettard tackled him in the pocket was laughable.

I enjoyed the game to be honest. I've seen alot of shittier games than that this year (mostly because we're involved in most of them).

That too, but there were a number of non decisions that didn't favor the tigers at all, and then that non-mark to ... Delidio, i think it was. Tigers unlucky. I swear the swans get all the favors as the afl lovechild - loathe them.

Like it's not enough that the Swans have more money in the salary cap, but also get all the 50/50 decisions from the umps. Damn I'd love that kind of run from the umps every week
What about the 2 pretty blatant trips to Franklin that weren't paid tonight? Were some bad calls both ways.

Was an awful game to watch for the general punter.
However, Richmond really put it to Sydney but just weren't good enough in their ball movement. Really struggled to make space forward of the play and open up the game, much like us. They could have easily won that if they worked harder off the ball. Sydney, like always, tend to have that guy out back for the outlet pass who usually runs the lines and spots up a lead (usually a guy in tonnes of space). The best teams are always the ones that work harder off the ball to either make space or lock down the play.

Freo won't finish top two. They aren't a genuine contender this year.
I disagree. Reckon they are building nicely towards finals.

They made Richmond look second rate. Richmond made Sydney look second rate a week later.

If they come across Hawthorn in Melbourne on the way to the flag Freo will be bundled out. Any other team are fair game.

Oh look! I'm brown nosing! No, I'm just stating my opinion. Redemption for last years loss will push them to the very end.

You're overrating Freo. They won't beat Hawthorn, Port or Sydney away.

I should have included Sydney away in my post. However I reckon Fremantle would beat Port in Adelaide in a final if it came to that.
I think on their day Freo can beat anybody. Taking into account full fitness and their gameplan.

Sydney and Port have flown past Freo, and they both have huge room for improvement. I can't see Freo getting any better. Their best shot at a flag was last year and they blew it.
