Who watches TV news, listens to radio or reads papers anyway? That's old media, and the sooner it dies the better- I get all the info I need from twitter and instagram. Sorry if that's too real dad.

In fairness, I'd rather an investigatve report from say the Washington Post than lots of randoms on my twitter feed.

Much of the good stuff on twitter is simply the increased speed of delivery of decent reports from older style journalism.

To the extent that the ****wits on twitter and Facebook and elsewhere who just talk shit destroy the entire journalism profession then we'll all ultimately be worse off ...

One can confuse the ending of old mediums with the ending of quality journalism. Only one of those is ok

On another note.... good to see Morabito escaped serious injury. If that bloke did his knee again, it would be pretty sad news. And after all the knock Sheppard gets for not coming close to his pick 7 expectations, Morabito was pick 3 from memory, and has played 1 season.

Anyone see the news the last couple of days about Brissy's idea to bring a real lion to their games and the subsequent backlash. Say what you will about our staff, at least we don't have those guys running the place.

It's not that much different to us having a live eagles fly around before the game. It's different because of the type of animal but they animal welfare stuff is the same I would have thought.

It would never work with a lion, but it's not much different from going to a zoo and looking at animals behind bars or glass. It would still be chained to a handler but I guess the un predictability of a wild animal probably isn't the best idea amongst thousands of people in a semi confined space.
