60 would catch theirs, but really every goal after about 10 goals gives us a half goal advantage over Port.

That 100 point win was massive for them, obviously.

Say we win by 80 we probably have about a buffer of 10 points for the Port game. In that we could lose by only 10.

If we match their winning margin by some miracle then we will have about 20 points to play with. Therefore it's a dreadful result for us tonight.

I was personally hoping that if Port were to win, that they only won by about 30 maximum. We could then hopefully beat Brisbane by similar and hopefully more and have a greater buffer against the Power.

The Mundy kick was simply massive. Could've finished anywhere 2nd to 5th.

Now a huge scrap to finish 4th.
It would not be so much about a margin of 60 points but scoring 1.8 x their score.

If we draw we're almost certainly 5th too - unless we can pull off something like a 15 goal win against Bris.
We are equal on points now. If we win by 1 pt over Brisbane and a draw against Port we finish 4 points ahead of them.
A win over Brisbane is highly desirable to eliminate the risk of a draw against Port.

No it ain't.

If we win 60-20 that's 3 times their score and we'd be behind Port on percentage.

Even 80-40 is 2 x their score and we'd be behind.

It's about 60 point margin that we need.

We need to obviously take into account the other 20 rounds of football when looking at the for and against.

Your argument is wrong.

I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.

Oh well looks like my worst nightmare is coming true and the scum down the road are going to make the finals. Screw you Adelaide
A lot still has to go right for them. Gold Coast showing plenty away against Essendon, and West Coast have to beat GC at Metricon to take their spot in the 8. And Richmond beats Sydney they are also in for the last spot in the 8.

Adelaide are shockingly coached. Not only do they not tackle (led by their "superstar" Dangerfield who seems to think tackling is for other people to do) but they don't seem to expect being tackled and are surprised once any kind of physical pressure is put on.

Not much left to go right mate. Richmond will get flogged by Sydney and WC will beat GC.

GWS have deadset choked this away.

Looking forward to seeing Michie play tonight, probably the only thing interesting about the game.

As the ladder currently stands, 5 v 8, Freo v Collywobbles at Subi in week one of the finals. I like those odds.

But the odds I like better are the Pussies v Freo at Skilled ;)
