Gee Pendles has to be the 2nd best player in the comp, but he has to be number 1 at reading the play.
The places he gets the ball is just crazy. You have to ask why he's there. But he's always there.
You can't leave Mich Brown out of anything, obsessed:D

Carlton are a very good team when the pressure is off.
I don't think any other team in the comp would have more front runners than the blues.. so when no pressure or the do get on top they can look amazing. When there is a bit of pressure they can go to water.

Yarran, Garlett, Daisy, Gibbs, Kruezer all vanish or have minimal impact when they are under the pump... And fair enough not everyone can be good every week. But these blokes go missing EVERY WEEK when it's tough
But if they are beating up on a poor team they look amazing

But according to popular football culture Carlton have the best Coach. Could of course be not true, that he is not and never was the best or does it mean that a team needs to be made up of great players with more really great than just good. And that they then determine whether games are won or lost.

They'd have a big stack of high picks- or potentially "great" players, wouldn't they? It appears that, like Melbourne, they don't know what to do with them.
Or could it be, perhaps, that too many high picks is bad for a team? The Cats seem to go OK with very few.

Tipped Pies by 28, suffice to say i spent the night slagging off Grundy so it HAD to be him to kick a goal in the last 11 seconds to put them 34 up.
On a serious note, how do we rate the Pies?
I do. Highly.
Our win against them may prove to be a difficult thing to do. They have a brilliant set of mids, and small forwards, and their 2 rucks can play. Defence?
Sure they will stay top 4.
That's 6 teams I have in top 4.........

Not sure how they will cope if they lost any one of Pendlebury, Beams, Swan, Cloke and probably even Grundy due to the fact Witts and Lynch are spuds.
For them to win the flag I think they would need a lot to go right with regards to injuries and probably a lot to go wrong with teams like Hawthorn, Geelong, Port Adelaide etc.

Will be interesting to see how they maintain the year. Have some serious deficiencies as well, Grundy will tire as the year goes on and if Witts struggles they will struggle there. Their gun midfield still generally only run one way. Cloke has struggled and they have nee winning which is good for them but being up against it in extreme pressure the goals may dry up I'd imagine.
Will be very interesting to see how they go when they play the hawks. Will know more then

Apart from the customary losses against Geelong, Hawthorn will wallop most teams. Not sure about Port in SA, but I'd be backing Hawthorn to win every week.
It's the next tier of teams- PA, Geelong, Freo, Coll, Swans, maybe NM, GC, who will fight out for the 2,3,4th spots. Collingwood seem to be a top 4 team to me?

Yep unfortunately I agree with that. And we also have deficiencies so I'm not just having a go at the pies.. we could easily drop off if things went really wrong.

Saints just getting whipped and Hawks just giving it to them. Mind you, Cats VFL side would kick 25 goals again these Moorabbin witches hats.

Go Catters
I've got a garden gnome in the backyard that would've been more useful today than half the StKilda team.
Some of them clearly gave up in the 2nd half.
