And port ruins my multi by 6 points... Even picked melb too

I have no luck no more bets now, here's hoping we can replicate the hawks today vs tuggers

I wish we were smashing sides again.:(
Everyone likes to smash sides, but you need to keep the prize in mind.

As you should remember from 2008, there is no prize for smashing sides in may.

Playing your best in September is all that counts.

Yet, as I said, the media will deem Hawthorn raging favourites, and that is only good for us.

But at the same time, Hawthorn deserve to be raging favourites despite the fact that we beat them.
Of course they do.

But as I pointed out, belting sides by 100 every week is not actually all that meaningful or even useful, because it does not prepare you for the scoreboard pressure of finals because you are not under pressure on a weekly basis.

Let the media lap it up.

We did smash sides in 2011, though.

Good post PO. That was one of the reasons the Saints had it over us in parts in 09. Simply, they were the only team to bring something resembling pressure to games against. Luckily we were good enough to adapt. Fingers crossed the Hawks aren't.
And, like us in 08, can Hawthorn possibly keep this up all year?
The attrition will have to kick in at some stage- they are but human.
Not the place to discuss this, but I still think our 2011 season was the most perfect season I've ever been privileged to witness- beating # 2 team 3x, including the GF, beating the #3 team 3x, including a final, and beating WCE in a final. We left our smashing of teams until August. Were we lucky that Pies did a Geelong 08? Or were we really that good at peaking when it counted with an awesome team?
