The cultural cringe that Australia has perfected is on full display this week. Any 'celebrity', anyone at all, let's just get them to say that they've heard of this awesome 'AFL' sport (it's not the sport, it's the competition), and we pat ourselves on the back and say "See, they noticed us! They liked us! Yay, aren't we great!!!"
Absolutely pathetic insecurity. The game is great, the match should be tremendous, it doesn't need the ignorant input of cretins (celebrities) to make it any better.
Bravo Partridge! I'm cringing! + so embarrassed by that last segment with Bec Maddern interviewing 'what'shisname' about
Dancing with the Stars! What does
Dancing with the Stars have to do with the AFL Grand Final, FFS?
Here is one to cheer you up Partridge -

Ron Burgundy’s message for AFL fans on Grand Final day
"RON BURGUNDY doesn’t quite get AFL, but he wants Aussie footy fans to stay “classy” anyway.
The Anchorman star has sent out a message for Australians on Grand Final day - and apologised that he couldn’t be here to join in on the commentary.
“Boy oh boy, wowee,” Burgundy said in the YouTube address, seemingly paying homage to to the popular catchphrase of AFL commentator Brian Taylor, “what a day it is for Australian sports fans, a day when the nation stops to watch men with tight shorts and low IQs chasing someone called ‘Sherrin’.
“I was asked to join the panel of the Saturday night footy news team for your Grand Final day,” Burgundy said before adding that a restraining order issued by a prominent Australian AFL writer prevented him travelling Down Under for the gig.
“I shouldn't have suggested you interview me in my jacuzzi. but that's just the kind of man I am.”
No, you stay classy, Burgundy."
