yeh I think Partridge may have nailed it again. May have been the rd3 match back in 1989, got reported for hitting a bloke trying to pick up the footy and also dished out a couple decent bumps, one which which put Johnston out of the game at halftime.

Strange thing was that was when Blight was playing Ablett off a half back flank too. We won easily - 54 points or thereabouts.

Memory (as faulty as it is) is telling me the bump on Johnstone was just before the three quarter time siren - at the river end under the scoreboard, and Johnstone bounced up then collapsed. Not sure how much footy he actually played after that.

The dominator has said publicly that the bump ended his career.

Close or precise?

It could read something like "Geelong cats /to win/triumph/to defeat (someone)".
Or it could read "Geelong Cats forever/eternally"

I had in mind "Geelong Cats forever".

Words really have an area of meaning rather than being locked into meaning one thing.

I personally would have expressed "forever" with leolam (transliteration) because I studied Classical Hebrew and not modern.
Anyway, back on topic.
