Usually we get the world feed, which is just lazy coverage of Philippe Chartier although last year we actually got a few Aussie tv matches with Peacock and Masur commentating from Sydney (thinking Stosur and Krygios).

This year it looks like they have stepped up a tad with the half an hour show beforehand with Masur/Peacock. I suspect it will be just the world feed on the main channel and Suzanne Longlen feed on the red button but with Peacock/Masur commentating Aussie matches when they come. So they'll probably show Kyrgios first on the main channel and then swap them around after that.

Rg is easily the worst covered slam

We will have the red button function, but the picture quality is so poor. The coverage has always been poor for rg, it would be nice if we had the ESPN coverage like we get for masters 1000 tournaments. We also have to put up with average to poor commentary over the next few weeks.

Do we have to put up with Fred stolle again?

I meant the world feed is hopeless, doesn't give updates from other courts so we'll just watch Rafa kill some random instead of interesting matches. At least we have two courts this year

Yeah, I imagine Fred will be back. Fred, woodforde & Ahl would have to be easily the worst combination around.

Would love for Ferrer to beat Nadal in the quarters (particularly without any possible injury excuse). Tennis gods, please make it happen.

Aussies have some tough matches, hard to see many of them getting through. Matosevic finally breaking the duck might be the only highlight. Kyrgios has the toughest opponent, but for some odd reason I am most optimistic about that match (other than maybe Ebden having a slightly lighter draw again, although he won't be favourite). Raonic has shown surprising clay form and excellent Masters form, but he occasionally shoots himself in the foot. The Gasquet-Tomic encounter might just come down to survival of the fittest. I expect Berlocq might emerge in the 3rd round from that part of the draw, but who knows. Hewitt also losing consecutive GS R1's to non greats also seems slightly unlikely.

Overall more pumped for this RG than any in the last several years. Tennis at the moment is mirroring AFL, really exciting and competitive time. A betting man would bet on a Djokovic-Nadal final, and if Djokovic won it would be a big moment, but they aren't immortal this year. A dozen or so players could go on a very deep run if the draw opens up.

If Djokovic or Ferrer wins, i'll be over the moon. If Federer or Wawrinka wins, that would be very special. If Nadal wins his 9th, that would be an incredible sight. And if an outsider like a Nishikori, Dimitrov, Raonic, Almagro, Berdych, Fognini, Robredo, Murray, Dolgopolov, etc. somehow broke through, that would be pretty special as well.

May the games begin.

I dunno about that. Raonic was playing well on the clay in Rome. I think Milos in 3 tight sets.
Agree with this..

But although your predictions are sometimes a little off ;). Remember when Stan/Jokovic at the Aus Open we were in for a disappointment? :p

Pumped for this though, some sleepless nights ahead!

Oh jesus why is the red button footage not in high definition?

I know it's not first world problem but gee just flicked over from kyrgios match see scores radwanska and vision is blurry!

Raonic wins the first set 6-3. Nick had 3 break points at 5-3 but couldn't convert. As expected he is struggling against Raonic's serve. He seems a bit grumpy today aswell.

Either tomorrow or Tuesday. I would say Tuesday as the French will gave Gasquet as long as possible as he is under a cloud.

I am assuming he will be fine by Tuesday.

Kyrigios had a tough opponent today, I didn't expect him to beat Milos. Tough draw.
