And what about them? Who exactly and why was it a problem?
He was apparently/supposedly hanging around with Dusty Martin an awful lot and enjoying a particular scene a bit too much for the liking of some. Whether there is any truth to it or not I haven't heard, so I wouldn't like to assume either way and don't really care, so long as he is on the straight and narrow now and doing all the club is asking/expecting of him.

There were rumours circulating, and personally I think Caro might have been onto something, but the article was complete garbage. Obviously she couldn't say anything outright at risk of a defamation lawsuit, so the article was Daily Telegraph level of trashy bullshit. For someone who's the head football writer at one of the most prestigious papers in Australia, you'd expect a lot better than that.

That said, her coverage of the ASADA saga and other football related issues has been nothing short of excellent.

2015 AFL: Make it or break it list

Tom Lee (St Kilda)
Tom Lee’s 2014 was one he would rather forget, marred with injury and a lack of form and fitness, 2015 looks to be a make or break season for Lee. He needs to cement a spot in a now competitive looking St Kilda forward line of Josh Bruce, Spencer White, Nick Riewoldt, Paddy McCartin, Hugh Goddard and Tim Membrey.

No limits for young Saints, says coach

"When it came to McCartin in particular, Richardson said it would be a hot contest for spots in a forward line that has been largely single-focused in recent years.

"Rooey (Nick Riewoldt) and some of our more experienced players would have to be in terrible form not to play given we're going to be fairly young. (But) there's going to be some really healthy competition for spots.

"Tommy Lee is training really well, Spencer White has been able to do a full pre-season.

"Josh Bruce and Tim Membrey as well, there's some big guys there that can also potentially give us some options forward of the ball."

This was posted somewhere else, but for those that weren't able to view it on the Age website the first time, they might be able to view it here (not sure what the difference is, but I wasn't able to view it on the other one but was on this one!):

Old and new, St Kilda players run personal bests

"Essentially game day should become the easy part."

Volume running has been the name of the game at the Saints, and players at both ends of the age spectrum are embracing the program. Veterans Sam Fisher and Leigh Montagna were both among the group that bettered their previous records. "Leigh and Sam are outstanding. I think that just reflects their professionalism," Basil said.

Basil also made special mention of younger Saints Jack Newnes, Eli Templeton, Jack Billings, Tom Lee and Daniel Markworth, all of whom had impressed. But it is the step up across the board from which he derives most satisfaction. "There's a whole group. I think that's the pleasing part for myself and the coaching staff - is that collectively as a group there's been a big shift."

Interesting to see how Markworth goes this year.

He's been unlucky with his body, but I'd suggest we'd need to see some serious improvement from him this season or he may go in 2016.

Hoping to see 18+ games from Chips this year, he made us look a lot more steady when he played. Don't mind losing, but hopefully he can help us not get smashed as often this year, which can be disheartening.

Yep, Markworth seemed well off it this year so he'll need to really show something in 2015 for us to persist with him I'd imagine. Has talent and some really attractive attributes, but the clock would be ticking now.

Awesome to see that Chips is burning up the track and hope that we get to see a full season from him next year. He'd still be in our best 5 when he's fit and in form, so the more we have him there the better and I'd just love to see how we go if we actually have our full backline to choose from for once, also so that we can see how we go with a properly constructed backline for probably the first time since 2012, if not 2011.

The 'Doc was my hero when I was but a whippersnapper. Had his number on the back of my duffle coat. Later had the 1 of Trev Barker but returned to the 4 of Plugger

I come with awful news. Josh Bruce has done the unthinkable. He's used Instagram to put up a photo.....of himself. He's taken a selfie for no good reason. Trade him if he has value if not delist him!

Winged Saint defender back in gear

JARRYN Geary didn't expect to spend his first season in St Kilda's leadership group watching the team play from the stands.

Geary's layoff was also made easier by the fact he had first-year forward Eli Templeton by his side the whole time.

"We did a lot of work together and formed a strong bond, which was good for both of us because we had someone to push each other every day," Geary said.

Who's ripping it up? Which players are 'training the house down'

Jack Newnes has been a dominant performer on the track for the Saints this summer. :)

Defender Dylan Roberton is another who is impressing, with the former Fremantle backman adding size to his frame in a bid to fill more of a key position role next season after an ankle injury last pre-season affected the way his year panned out.
