Pavlich and Franklin will average more than him at a fair wack cheaper too.

Thoughts on Tippet? Can he average 100+, eg Roughead?

true that pav and buddy will score more, Tippett? Nah I don't think he has the mobility of Roughy, especially on a smaller ground I think he'll struggle to consistently score well

Ahh Cloke. Unless you are a coked up Wall Street stockbroker who lives for the the booms and bust of the stock market, you won't enjoy having him in your team.

2013: Highest score 195, lowest score 35. Says it all.

I had him in 2012 and swore off him after he delivered a 26.

If your picking Cloke your picking him as a keeper, so his highs and lows are not relevant for overall, only his average counts. His highs and lows will effect weekly league games tho

Jesus that would be a ballsy move.....

Up until this year, Saints v Coll on Friday night would have worked, :(

Now, Bruce or Delaney will chew him up & spit him out,

I actually like the Tippet pick this year, with Mummy gone and Franklin in he will play a SC friendly role I think. Up forward slotting a few goals and in the ruck.

I think you could honestly pick a forward line of just key forwards and it wouldn't actually be that bad.

Cloke, Franklin, Tippet, Pavlich, Petrie and then maybe Danger to top it off. Not that I will actually do it, but they are all at a good price and will actually score well.

Anyone think Mayes may be the one to break out this yer, was very impressive last year. Or is the second year rule iron clad?

Iron clad,

2nd yr selections are miss, more often than hit,

Stick with what you know (or could reasonably forecast) IMO

O'Meara/Wines/Crouch/Mayes... I predict one of these to have a huge year, no second year blues at all. O'Meara and Wines are my bet.

I really want to call this "The Rule of Zorko".

I wouldn't be picking him, especially with a new coach. Far better options, too risky for mine.

Bit harsh on Zorko.

I think he would have done alot better last year hadn't it been for carrying an injury and being parked in the forward pocket nearly all year by spud Vossy.

Could have easily done a Fyfe and had a great 2nd year if it weren't for Vossy IMO. :thumbsu:

It was the first time I'd readily picked a 2nd year player, and he burnt me. For some reason, not always form related, 2nd year players always seem to struggle if they had a good first year. Injury, position, form, It happens 99.9% of the time. I'm avoiding 2nd year players from now on.

I'm tipping Zorko the Great to bounce back in a huge way this year.

Leppitsch isn't as dumb as Vossy. He will use Zorko where he is most damaging and that's on a wing. :thumbsu:

I can definitely see him getting back to that 25 disposal, 3 goal damaging midfielder/winger. I'm thinking of picking him, I'm tossing up a few options around that sort of area. Parker is locked in for me.

Have thought about Parker too but for me its out of Parker and Spuddy.

Spuddy is the more proven out of the two of them and I know he can easily go over 100 avg and he is way under priced so on that basis you're almost forced to pick him just like with Beams. o_O

But Buddy is in a new environment. We have absolutely no idea how Longmire intends to use him, and it could dry up his scoring. Whereas Parker is most likely going to keep improving and has already shown he can score well, and will probably be a bit of a POD.
