Starting an all-purpose thread for questions that don't fit into the existing ones.

My question is pretty simple - are there any sites with team planners and accurate prices for those of us without SC Gold?

Does anybody know the rules for SC this year? Specifically number of trades and number of players scoring in bye rounds.

Hasn't been announced yet AFAIK..

Have you seen Fanfooty? I know it's more helpful than supercoach for bye planning and it's basically the same in that you can still pick a team and it limits your salary

How do you all feel about how much cash to have left over after the first round. I.E I had finished my side with about 12k left in the Bank but then decided to go Watson > Murphy and now have about 200k+ left. Is that to much left in the bank or maybe a smart move?

Depends if you're happy with your side,

100k -150k would give you opportunity to correct your initial squad before rd 3 (price changes),

Horses for courses though,

I love having 100k-200k left and be happy with my team. Gives me great flexibility to either burn a couple of trades to fix up my team or let's me do an upgrade very early on.

Yeh same here, usually leave around 100-150k in the bank for any fix up trades in the early rounds. Nothing worse than being 20-50k short for player(s) you really want when making fix trades. Also allows to upgrade a fools gold mid-pricer to a premo if need be.

He's not 500k, he's under 500k, which is midpriced in my book ;)

100-199 low
200-499 mid
500-800 high

You'll eat your own words on Tyson..

Hmm...Has anyone ever been 800k?

Collectively Melbourne would have to improve significantly for Tyson to make enough money in the short term at his starting price. I'd think he'd be doing well to averge 70-75 which isn't quite enough to make quick cash priced at 217k

He definitely won't be a "quick cash" option, I can't see any rookies 180+ being "quick" cash options. They'll all be 12-15 round prospects at that price range I would have thought.

That's my point though. I want to upgrade all my on field rookies during the bye rounds like I did last year. So the ones I pick have only 7-9 rounds to make money.
