It is true, Kreuz is my favourite player. It's been a pleasure having him in my SC this year. Hopefully he will keep improving. I LOL at muppets like Luke Darcy who reckon we should bundle him up in a trade. Dumbass should know rucks generally don't start dominating games until they're 25+ (unless you're a physical freak of nature like NicNat of course)

Wouldn't touch DSwallow with a 10 foot pole. Not good enough as a midfielder for GC so pushed to a HBF and hasn't been scoring well at all this year. Far better options.

Smith and Suckling good options.

Because of unlimited trades in SC draft, I would,

I'll give a couple of names to consider for 2014 SC draft;

Suckling, ZSmith & DSwallow

JMartin (GCS) - if playing a draft comp with full midfield

Roberton - required to play 2nd & 3rd tall too much lately for Saints, when free to play as running HBF

yeh jack martin kill surely average more than 85+, would be a quality bench option
heres a couple of the top of my head

dempsey-been in my side, done well a sides from 2 injury scores (pulled down his average a lot)
pav and sandi-risky but people will pass on them as players are sorted by averages in the draft
whitecross-decent bench who has done just okay this year as he fights back from his ACL
marley williams-liking the look of this kid
seedsman- a nice roughie especially if he is a defender
nic nat-didnt have a big pre-season this year
robbie gray -similiar to whitecross
ricky henderson-would be a good pick up if he's there at round 8-9 in the draft (lowered average because of the vest)
dylan shiel is a favourite of mine
watts is he goes to a new club
ben cunnighton with swallow out
mitch grigg is going to be a good pick

At the moment i've got these players on my radar:

Wellingham - inj free preseason shoukd see him average 90+
Swallow - been getting defensive roles all year with inj interruptions, surely too good to keep those roles
Prestia - already broken out but could see him slip due to average start to the year. good 3rd or 4th mid
Zorko - 2nd year blues, could get him on the cheap, still had some big games this year
Cunnington - average slowly increasing - ready to take the next step - high tackle count, contested ball
Motlop - increasing possession counts, kicks goals

Will have had 2 full years and 3 preseasons in the system next year. A year in the VFL seems to have done him well. Playing some great football in the second half of the year.

Will be relatively cheap in terms of draft position.

I will have a crack it SC draft next season by the looks/sounds of it your side is not as strong in terms of full team of premos, but why not having a crack at it anyway.

I went for risky rising stars in the draft this year. Picked up youngsters like Watts, Christensen, Bennell, Rioli, Zorko, Greene, Hartlett.

Most of them failed to elevate to the next level =(

Luckily I jumped on Ball, Wingard, T Mitchell, Hibberd and Nicholls mid-season though.

Thats a pretty impressive team, altho for SC 2014 there are only 4 I like: Jack Steven (locked in) Dangerfield, Nat Fyfe & maybe Ward if he is named as a defender

Any news on features of the 2014 draft league? Would be great if they added in keepers and upgraded the league news section with more details on the trades other teams are making. Playing the ESPN NBA game at the moment and they have some great features that really encourage interaction between team owners - a dedicated forum; trade offers via email; decline and counter trades; a particular section where you can highlight which players you are willing to trade from your team and which you aren't.

The game last year had some of those features.
No news on any new features that i know of. There wasnt much incentive to trade last year, everybody overrates their players.

I tried the DT version of this last year. A lot depends on draft order (I was 7th) which sucks balls because with less players on the field, you really need GAJ or Pendles for your perma-captain. So I'd be only interested in this if I were guaranteed 1st or 2nd pick in the draft.

Leagues can be tweeked,

I played in a SC Draft league last year that had no captain's double score.

This can remove the GAJ/Pendles effect somewhat.

also, often picks 10&11 are more valuable than 1&20 if you choose to have your draft order reverse after every round

Maybe we need our own BFSC one?? I vote Gingy to organise it - god knows I'm going to have my hands full already by the looks of things
