Hah! Yeah for sure.

You'd want decent bench cover with those 2 as your R1 and R2. :D:thumbsu:

You'all have to try & fit our favourite R4/F8 in as well - McBean!

Should see some game time next year,

surely bench is McBean and Currie - certainly haven't been extended this year in their outputs

Isn't this what they serve at Macca's in India? ;)

Yeah I'd probaby go those two again and have Naitanui up forward.

I think thats plently of cover IMO but if a better R4 comes along during pre season/round 1 I will pick them instead over Currie just due to him not really being able to get as game unless Goldstein goes down.

My premo R1 and R2 were going to be Goldstein and Minson but am now thinking Goldstein and Sandilands which could save me a bit of coin to use somewhere else.

Really looking forward to putting my SC team together come mid December. :D:thumbsu:

Next years Goldy and Minson might well be Lobbe & Grundy :rainbow:

Will just need to see how Redden is played, or not,

2 playing rucks in one side is a SC pts killer,

Don't forget Redden didn't really play this year and I can't see the Pies just playing with a solo ruck next season.

They will either trade for one for like Longer and play him alongside Grundy or play Grundy and Witts.

Still think the ideal ruck combo will be Goldstein paired up with Minson/Leuenburger/Sandilands. :thumbsu:

Sandi will be cheap, but will have Clarke & or Griffen to share ruck duties with. Can see Sandi being plonked @ FF for many minutes at a time if one or both of the other 2 are playing.

I'll probably just go set and forget with Goldstein and Minson.

Mids will be Ablett, Pendles, J.Selwood, Dangerfield, Watson

Murphy while cheap may lead alot of people into a trap.

I still think he is suspect in handling a tag and can't see Judd copping the tag anymore as father time is catching up with him so Murphy will be copping all the attention again.

I am still wary of Murphy to be honest.... o_O

My second week of finals score was lower than any score of the year other than one of the bye rounds. This tells me to pick a side and then stick with it without trading any players at all. Then again my socre in the last week was the highest I have ever scored. This in fact tells me this game is ****ED and completely down to luck.:D

Ok so I think I have my definite locks for my 2014 SC side.

B - Thompson, Walker, Hibberd, Bock, Suckling

M - Ablett, Pendles, J.Selwood, Dangerfield, Watson, J.Martin, M.Crouch

R - Goldstein, Minson (McBean)

F - Naitanui, D.Martin, Hogan

Have to fill the rest of the blanks in with rookies, midpricers and about 1 or 2 more premiums but I'm happy with this template for next years side. :thumbsu:

Pretty expensive group there.. I count probably more than 7.3M from those 18 - leaving 2.7M for the remaining 12 (@225k on average).. I would start by cutting one premium mid and one premium ruck..
Plus I can't really see many of those guns you selected as improving much on this year's performance..

Yeah I know its an expensive lineup but like I said the remaining backline, mids and ruck spots only need to be filled in with rookies.

I'll need one or 2 more premo forwards or maybe one premo forward and 2 value picks ala JJK this year.

I have considered downgrading Minson to Sandilands which would save me a bit and would be good value.

I'm pretty happy with that team if I can squeeze it all in but may have to make a snip or two to adjust it.

Re: the preseason research, trust your instincts, don't just pick a random rookie because they are nemed round 1, especially if you really fancy another rookie that isn't selected in the 1st round.

Or you'll get Reltoned.

Is Jelwood a bit of a slow starter? I normally select him mid season. Picked him up for roughly 450 this year.

Selwood started the year off strongly.

It was his mid season that I noticed where he had a bit of a downer.

Straight after I picked him up full price at around round 9-10 he went to poop!:thumbsdown:
