So who is'nt going to be at Carlton next year and who is coming in?
I'd say the omissions will be:

Garlett
Scotland
Duigan
Bootsma
Judd
McLean
McInnes
Temay

I think we will keep Waite for another season, and Judd will only be cut if he decides to pull the pin.

Will stay after Bootsma's "retired"

Can't see Temay surviving as well unless he makes a senior appearance. Not many people make it back from the VFL development squad.

Hopefully none of Bell, Cas, Menz, Yarran or Gibbs decide to leave as well....

Sadly, McInnes will never regain his turning circle or his pre-injury confidence.

I think similar to Laidler, he is damaged goods now and White has well and truly taken his spot in the side.

Laidler is playing well at Sydney though. Mcinnes is just needed depth at the moment since we don't anyone else who can play third tall down back.

Although we could always grab Buntine from the Giants......

Garlett has to play well when he comes back from the VFL by tackeling, chasing and not dropping easy mark as well as kicking 2 or more goals. But has do that in the VFL first.

Jeremy is a regular fixture at the Swans and on the road to recovery. Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater twice in twelve months.

Temay hasn't played VFL development this year.

Secondly - delisting Temay because he hasn't cracked a senior spot is the exact opposite of what Geelong, Hawthorn & Sydney do. I hope we don't do that. Temay has definitely improved this year. Last year was a right off for personal reasons.

Why not re:McInnes? He has been named in the VFL bests a number of times in recent weeks.

Giving up on players too quickly is exactly why we struggle to develop our own.

What is our opinion on Carrazzo? I thought he could be one for retirement, he played a great game though, and looks like he has regained his usual form. Seems like he has been plagued by injuries for a while now. Do we think he will keep going next year, or hang up the boots? I hope he can stay healthy and be one of our bests again.

Hope he plays - simply because he is contracted for next year and I'd rather pay him to play than pay out his contract (which is quite sizeable).

If he retired does his remaining salary go against our salary cap? Main reason for bringing this up was the coin he would be on, could be used else where on something quite good.

I'd think so. It would be salary cap cheating to pay out his contract outside of the cap.

nope we have to pay it in the cap. we are paying duigan this year too. carazzo's would have to go in next years cap. just like if buddy retires early swans have to pay him out too.

Okay thanks for clearing that up! When Curnow comes back, if both are fit, who would be first selected out of the two? Or could we fit both into the 22?
