Well here we are one week after the signing of free agents started. And what have we seen achieved in that week?
Next to nothing. A few bit trades that's all and a whole heap of absurd posturing by a few clubs/player managers/internet posters.
And about all that has produced is a lot of hot air, probably adding to the greenhouse gas problem and reducing the worlds life expectancy by a few thousand years.
I feel a bit cheated. I've wasted too much time vainly reading posts and listening to SEN and reading the papers to see if anything meaningful has happened.
That's another week of my life gone and sadly I can't get it back. And neither can any of you. Trouble is I'm running out of weeks. I expect better than this because I can't afford to lose them this way. I'll just be nice and say damn the AFL, damn computers, damn the person or persons who invented the interwebs, damn the TV, damn the papers and damn the wireless.
I want to go back to when the world was a nice uncomplicated place to live in. Back around the turn of the last century when just about the only way you could communicate was by carrier pigeon or smoke signals or by messages carried on horseback.
