I wouldn't be surprised if he was given another year, however, I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't given another contract.

Turner and Tippett will need to be elevated, we also have to look at replacements for Thompson, Grima, Petrie, Tarrant while we also need to look at more outside speedy/classy mids so I think list space will be a premium even if we have several candidates for moving on.

I think Turner is occupying the position that Nahas was filling. Not sure there is also room for Nahas unless Adams doesn't come back from his concussions. Can anyone see Brad not picking Adams? :stern look

Does anyone think we should we should dangle a carrot in front of Leigh Montagna? I know he is 30 but he is good and an ultimate professional. Playing with old mate del and playing finals footy. 2 year contract? I have been thinking about this for some time. What it would cost us? Not sure.

Would be a silly move to delist him.

Harper is such a question mark, Turner could well find himself up the ground, Adams may have played his last game, LT is likely to dislocate his head next season.

He'd be stiff.
I think if we draft a kid that is quick and has skillz he can pretty much come right into the side, it is different to KPP or inside mids. I really liked Nahas' endeavour, but his finishing left a lot to be desired though.

Yeah, but we haven't drafted that kid yet.

I also don't think we need to be rushing into upgrading Tippett yet either (unless it's forced through rookie list rules then play on...).

It did work when we originally got Harper ... to an extent.
I honestly don't know why we treated Harper the way we did, it is not like Boomer is the most accountable player going around. Would have preferred if he was kept as an aggressive half forward and just worked a bit on his defensive pressure, trying to turn him into a midfielder was a shit move.

Yeah, we haven't drafted the kid, but if the club has intent they might not commit to a contract extension. Who knows, they might plan to push someone like Mullett into that kind of role. As I said, wouldn't be surprised in either outcome of giving him another contract or not.

I think Tippett has another 2 years he can stay on our rookie list. It comes down to if he is going to play or not really. The problem we have is that neither Thompson, Grima or Hansen are suited for the bigger forwards. If Tippett is on the rookie list and we don't have a LTI we can't use him. Grima and Hansen seem to get a lot of short term injuries, I think we need to have someone who can step in when needed.

Wouldn't we expect Delaney to step up next year for that role?

Tippet looks good to go, suspect the fact that the club is talking about the possibility of him playing this weekend means they've seen enough in him to be convinced he can fill a role in the medium term. Delaney has a big question mark on him due to injury history now.

Should get another year.
Hine, Curran, LA and Wilkins seem like likely delistees ahead of him.
Plus would get rid of McMahon(retire/trade for nothing/payout final year and delist)
Spot on. I would add Tarrant to the list. Injuries have struck him down and we have Mason Wood as a more than handy replacement.
