There can be only one...
Sorry guys, seems source was wrong about you guys withdrawing offer. Good to see he's staying true to form and taking the easy way out and not earning the second year with us.

I dislike free agency, I hope at least if he leaves that Carlton get decent compensation. This is the other thing that annoys me about free agency, if a player leaves it makes it less attractive to pick anyone else up via FA.

We aren't going to give up pick 3 unless it involves bringing in a genuine gun player - i.e. someone like Dom Tyson who was a former #3 pick and was our second best player this year. Guys like Dylan Shiel would be the benchmark and if we couldn't get someone like that we'll just go to the draft.
Just give us the pick now your going to waste it anyway!

Seeing as Sanderson just got sacked, and assuming this opened the door even wider for Dangerfield to leave. If we were to go after him, what would it realistically take? Apologies if there has been thoughts provided already, didn't come across anything substantial browsing through the recent pages of the thread.

Basically we don't have what we'd trade and we won't trade what we have.

Dangerfield said his relationships at Adelaide had been "too strong" for him to leave in 2012, Brenton Sanderson's first season as coach.

The former Geelong Falcon said he would be "very happy" to continue playing under the Crows' coaching team, in particular Sanderson.

"Paul Connors, my manager, (said that) if I wanted to go home then he would find a way, but I love what we're doing here in Adelaide," Dangerfield said.

"I think a really important part of enjoying your footy is having good coaches around you and I certainly think we have that in 'Sando'.

"He's a terrific coach and a really good people person, so as long as he's here I'm very happy to stay."

How about Liam Jones from the Dogs if we miss out on Waite? He was a pretty good player under Eade. Seems on the outer with the current coach and down in confidence.
People think Drew is a bad shot at goal, this guy takes it to a new level.

No from me.

There was speculation because the club was in lock down. It ended up being Sanderson, but clubs will see this as an opportunity to have a crack at Danger and Sloane.
If only there was a very successful Victorian club that had around 1.8m available in the cap after their star forward left recently.

Hmm i dunno, as pointed out we have our 3 main outsiders and some KPPers with a couple of years left.

Do we load up with kids when all we have are late draft picks or roll the dice and go for broke now while we have them? I think the later, if something suitable is on offer. GWS/ GC with massive talented lists are coming. Go hard now imo, then mini rebuild grab a superstar FA (perhaps from GWS/GC?) and have another crack while JZ, Cunners and co still have 3-4 years left.

Given the age of our vets, i just dont see the window being open that long. So im for using picks/ fringe players to load up.....dont want to die wondering.
Interesting discussion raised by the dual international on harf time. Is it better to go st kilda 09-10 and give it all in hopes of a flag? Or trying to build a sustainable top 4 side, that may never actually win a premiership. Oh for a chrystal ball :S
