We didnt want to bring in any campaigners this year, although I agree I wouldnt be against it if we lost the likes of Patfull and Merrett. Suddenly we are too young and a few stop gaps wouldnt be a bad idea. I get the feeling though we would just embrace the youth, as we did early in the year.

I'm having trouble distinguishing whether you're talking about Mitch Robinson or "not quite as talented players" with that first line. Damn swear filter.

Say we do lose Merrett (and not Patfull) this trade period, do we need to replace him with a seasoned player? Down back I think we have enough experience with Adcock, Maguire and Patfull, but up front I'm a bit worried without a big, mature forward to show the way.

I'll be disagreed with by most on here but I just don't see us getting a pick much better than about 40 for him (ie late second rounder or early third). It makes me think he's one we should probably be really trying to keep.

Are there any mature forwards out there that we could target?

Your kidding yourself. Robinson is a gun & has struggled under Mick. Leppa will turn him into an a-grader & he is exactly what we need ability/position wise. Marking half fwd/ mid.

With Taylor Hunt, I would also take him. An upgrade on Raines. Didn't play after round 5 due to Injury.

If we're seriously considering Mitch Robinson, I think it's fair to conclude we've softened our stance on grading.

Agree with this. Just play hardball with pick 4 and we'll get there, collingwood know they have no power in this.

So your suggesting something like, say, oh I don't know....maybe pick 4 and Lisle?
