They sure can't fit Petrie, Waite, Black and Brown in the same team (still struggling that another team has a black and Brown). Black was pretty awful this year but still reckon he has potential. If we do have the flexibility I'd be keen to get him. Maybe a Merrett Black straight swap, they get a def capable of playing on big bodies who fits their plan to go hard now and we get an underperformance KPF who can learn under Browny...

I would definitely be enquiring about Black and seeing how he feels about a move. From memory he did pretty well last year and would be more proven then the other guys we have brought in recently (lisle, Paine, ace). Is he around the 196/7 mark as well?

North are really going for it with Waite and Higgins but it looks like being a very limited window.I think we should have them covered by 2017 at the latest.

Odds on Boomer still being there and their best player?

Free agents spuds. I bet they don't make the 8 next year.

I agree. North have given themselves a two year window at best. Certainly going for it in 2015.

Is he quick?

Pace is his key asset.

Can't think of much else.

Don't want. Would frustrate our supporters significantly and be delisted after 2 years.

"His former manager Rick Olarenshaw once told me Shermo would ring every second day asking for a boot deal or an apparel sponsor after his first year"

I think enough time has passed for me to pass on the following little nugget...

A few years back Shermo once booked a meeting with a Lions media manager (to their confusion). He showed up with a pitch and proposed format for a weekly TV talk show (genuine broadcast TV not LIONSTV) with him as the host and wanted the club's media department to try and make it happen.

I still laugh when I remember that story. Bless him.

Wow - that is gold. Sorry for the Simpsons reference again but was the Sherman show going to be called "Rat boy"

Essendon playing some serious hardball with Port Adelaide re: Ryder.

I am a bit relieved we don't have a dog in that fight anymore. Really doubt we would have been able to get something done as well as Beams.

Happy to sit back with a box of popcorn.
