Ziebell was born to play finals, and will play some epic ones.

Next test for him is to string together 22 consistent games at a high level. 30 touches and 12 clearances should be a good game for him, not a great one. And it will come.

Jack needs to be more creative with his clearances. He needs to bring our outside players into the game instead of banging it on his boot. This will come

Swallow, you know what to expect, you expect a lot. He delivers. Will be captain of the next team of the century.

Cunners, will be the best of the 3.

On track..... but still think we need Harper & Atley in there over the next few years. They have the pace and creativity to compliment the beasts that these young boys are turning into.

Swallow, Adams, Ziebell, Cunnington, Greenwood, Atley and Harper feeding Wells, McKenzie and later McDonald should ensure we get to the big dance in the next 3-4 years.

No concern about the ability to grind. We just need the blokes they're setting up to finish off the good work.

I think it's the first time Wells, Swallow, Ziebell and Cunnington all had a good game.

Not that far off with the exclusion of McIntosh. ;)

We're ranked at 8 on AFL.com.au's best midfields list.

http://m.afl.com.au/news/2015-12-29/the-afls-best-midfields-in-2016-where-does-your-team-rank

Best starting midfield
:
C: Jamie Macmillan, Jack Ziebell, Nick Dal Santo
Foll: Todd Goldstein, Ben Cunnington, Andrew Swallow

Depth players: Ben Jacobs, Daniel Wells, Jed Anderson, Ryan Clarke, Trent Dumont, Will Fordham*, Sam Gibson, Brad McKenzie, Declan Mountford, Farren Ray*, Corey Wagner, Majak Daw*, Braydon Preuss*

The Roos are well stocked for inside midfielders and boast the reigning All Australian ruckman, Todd Goldstein. They are light on for classy outside runners, however, with their ability to improve on consecutive preliminary final appearances largely dependent on Daniel Wells returning to full fitness and ex-Hawk Jed Anderson thriving in a new environment. We have left tagger Ben Jacobs out of the starting line-up for team balance, but expect him to again be a centre-square regular in 2016. – Nick Bowen

Hard to take it seriously when Wells is a 'Depth player'.

Where would you rate a starting midfield that includes Mark Blicavs, Rhys Stanley and Cameron Guthrie?

Fifth according to AFL.com!

Bwahahahaha!

It was pretty well established that no ruckman in the league could compete with the tandem tag team effort of Stanley and Blitzarse. Well aside from all the ruckmen who rank anywhere above mediocre.

Just another reason why data sets are bunkem without understanding the context of the role of each individual and their fit within the grander scheme.
