7) If you choose to pass, that pick will be replaced with a pre-season draft (in February/March) pick.
The benefit will be the ability to pick up a more expensive player ($121k+) at the price of a new draftee to save some salary space on a more established player

Your remaining picks go to psd. Players with a higher than usual contract can be picked up for the base price in psd I believe.

If you pass you will get 3 rookie picks and 1 PSD pick. The PSD is in March and you'll be able to use that for an undrafted player or to promote one of your rookies after they've potentially played some NAB Challenge games (similar to the AFL nominated rookie). If you pass one of your rookie picks that would leave you the option to take a recycled player in the PSD.
