Now: Own player bidding starts
6pm Friday October 30: Opposition player bidding starts, all bids inactive, no limits on which and how many uncontracted players you can bid on
6pm Wednesday November 4: Trading starts, all leading inactive opposition bids become active
6pm Thursday November 24: Trading, opposition bidding closes
6pm Thursday December 1: Own player bidding closes (i.e. you have to have met the requirements below)
9am Monday December 5: Draft starts (picks can be passed for PSD)
Midday Sunday January 1: Rookie draft starts (picks can be passed for PSRD)
CAS Verdict + 48 hours: Top up draft (if required to replace suspended players, can promote a rookie and replace them in the PSRD)
6pm Sunday March 6: Pre-Season draft (can promote a rookie but will not get a replacement rookie)
Followed by: Pre-season rookie draft
What you need at the end
A senior list of exactly 40, including:
- All listed contracted players
- At least 3 National Draft picks including any acquired through trading and any earlier picks than these acquired ones
- Maximum 11 GST players:
-- At least 3 designated goalkickers
-- At least 3 designated stoppers
-- At least 2 designated tappers
-- Players can be eligible for more than one category, but are only counted in one category (you do not have to specify which)
-- Players who are not on an AFL list are ineligible to be GST players
Total player payments less than or equal to $10,400,000 (Gold Coast $11,232,000, Harbour City $10,608,000) including all senior listed players, delisted contracted players and retained rookie listed players
