Do we take Kieran Collins if he is around for our second pick? Our back 6 for the next 10 years could be Weitering, Collins, Plowman, Docherty, Buckley, Rice
Collins seems just a little static to me, from what I've seen.
For our second though.... ~#20, he may be worth the shot.

I wouldn't worry about Rice though............sooner give opportunity to what we have than to play musical chairs.

A player i rate highly in Nick O'kearney is now tipped to go early to mid 30s... if this is the case the thought that this draft lacks depth seems ridiculous because Okearney is a gun.

Carlton seem all but certain to land Lachie Plowman after he has had much discussion with Stephen Silvagni. Plowman and Silvagni grew a strong relationship in Plowman's draft year which has added to him coming to the Blues. Excellent boost for our backline over the next 10+ years along with Weitering.

Seems like this year focus is in defence Trade and Draft with likely picks of Weitering KPD, Rice mid/halfback and SOSOS 3rd tall Fwd/Def

Next year draft must be Forwards and Oustide Mids

So your pick 20 or 21 I reckon it should be used or kirean Collins get him and weitering use will be set for the next 10 years with a FB and a CHB
Weideman was quoted that Collins was his hardest opponent to play on. Could be a great option but really hope we try add some firepower in this draft.

Have been screaming for a KPF for years, but im going with Weitering.

With Hendo going, Watson not working out, and Jamo on the way out, we need one.
The way that I see it is that Weitering appears to be the closest thing to a definite 10 year player in a position of need, Schache despite his potential appears to have a lot more question marks around his game and ability to translate his game from u18s footy to the more structured environment of senior footy.

Like the look of Weideman but can't find much footage of him playing at all. Talk that he could end up being the best KPF out of this draft class.

Anyone got anything to peruse?

If we can pickup 3 x first rounders somehow and take them to the draft, picking up a KPD, KPF and mid = brilliant.

My only issue would be Weitering and Weideman... bloody surnames are so similar it'll get confusing - maybe it could play into our favour though ;)
Weitering and Weideman and Francis in one draft = WWF - What a Rush!:D:D:D

Weitering - CHB
Plowman - 3rd tall back
Rice - hbf

Need to draft two forwards at least (1 x kpf and 1 x super quick goal sneak)

Two outside runners -
Rookie/project ruck
Giles - rookie (if passed medical)

All must be able to use the ball well. No more butchers

We also lost 2 midfielders (Judd and Carrots, 3 if you count Ellard in the 2s) that need replacing.

Could argue we don't really need another HBF in Rice

Talking of Rogers (or seeing a photo of him) isn't this around the time he announces who we'll be drafting with our first two selections in the national draft...
No this is the time when he announces the most we'll give up for a player we want.

Announcing our first two draftees is done a few weeks from now.

Ah that's right.

"We think Kristian Jaksch is worth around pick 1 and we'll be trying our best to give GWS slight overs on that." - Shane Rogers.

Kreuzer, Cripps, Murphy, Gibbs, Graham, Curnow, Holman, Whiley, Docherty, Daisy, Bell(?), Menzel, Boekhorst, Tutt, Smith, Armfield. Plenty of blokes to spend time in the middle, some real quality and some obvious depth-only options.

Rice is a good choice if we're getting him cheap. Would rather a genuinely talented HBF with pick 35-40 than a speculative winger.

Of those Murphy, Cripps, Gibbs, Holman, Graham, Curnow, Whiley, Daisy and Bell (though likely gone) are blokes you'd rotate through the centre. We lack quality and quantity of mids.. Oh the joys of being a crap side.
