I honestly thought I was on my own with regards to this player.
Yeah, you were the only one...............that's why he's rated top 15 :)

Piece of play in the finals which was a standout for mine.
Collected the ball on a burst and weaved around several....ran through them almost....and delivered the ball to a lading forward. Very impressive.

Hope we get a Rioli for need and 2017 family tradition GF medal

Daniel Rioli (16/04/1997, 179cm, 65kg. St Marys/North Ballarat Rebels)

Small forward/defender/midfielder

AFL biography: Small forward or defender who is extremely dangerous around goals and very capable overhead for his size. Cousin of Cyril. Really impressed in round three of the championships against Tasmania. Averaged 12.3 possessions (10.3 contested) and 4.7 tackles at the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships. Impressed with his four goals against the Geelong Falcons in the TAC Cup finals earlier this month.

"Daniel has a bit of x factor about him. He doesn't need too many possessions to make an impact on the game. He's very calm when he gets the ball and he makes some pretty good decisions. It's his first year in the program so he's still getting used to all the requirements, but he's done a good job with that and he gets himself organised. He's played some really good footy for us and the NT this year. You can tell a sweet kick of the footy by the sound it makes off the boot, and he's got that."

Phil Partington, North Ballarat talent manager

Just looking through that Emma Quayle article about the mids and found a likely midfielder for us apart from my two small forward/mid favourites...

Josh Schoenfeld (3/07/1997. 186cm, 75kg. Peel Thunder)

Medium midfielder

AFL biography: Hard-working midfielder with elite endurance who prides himself on working to countless contests due to his ability to spread and cover the ground. Uses the ball effectively by foot, often finding the short targets to maintain possession, however also gets forward and impacts the scoreboard. Played in four games for Western Australia during the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships.

"Josh is an outside midfielder, and our best runner by far. He's clean by hand and foot and takes a strong overhead mark. At the start of the season he said he didn't want to be known just as an elite runner, so he's worked on his foot skills really hard. He can play at both ends of the ground and 12 months ago we probably wouldn't have seen him as being in the mix but he's come on a lot. His decision making under pressure is up there with the best in our side. Off field he's always asking questions and wondering how he can improve and take things on board. He's a quiet kid who wants a lot of feedback."

Raff Guadagnino, WA talent manager
If he is playing for Peel Thunder, it means that he is more than likely a country kid. Highly adaptable and as the WA talent manager guy said, wants to learn and get lots of feedback about how to improve his game. And he also sounds like the sort of kid who would go out and hire himself a personal trainer in the offseason to work on any potential deficiencies he might have.

He's very underrated on BigFooty, not that it means anything.
Kid is gun. KM is pretty big on him, has him somewhere in his top 10 IIRC.
Would love him at Carlton. Also a big fan of his younger brother Dylan Clarke
SOS would have seen plenty of Ryan this year. Would make him well placed to make a call on if we should draft him.
