Always wondered what the difference between a gun and a jet was .......
I know people probably use it as interchangeable but in draftee terms I always look at a gun being a good footballer with a great chance of succeeding and a jet as a player with some stand out skill, x factor or blinding speed, but a little inconsistent and therefore a bigger risk.

That's hardly going to thrill anyone........tanking for SOS? :)
The tests on his ankle are the important part. If he's only been running for a little while but made a full recovery those results are pretty realistic, if weakness or injury in them is still holding him back it's a different story.

It's a real 'anything can happen' sort of draft. Really looking forward to it even if I don't really know who I'm looking forward to.

Roll the dice and see what comes up. :)

It's the weirdest draft I recall, in recent years.

Whilst most have the 1 & 2 posts nailed down, even they'r not absolute.
So many variables and a good reason for that to be the case. Fascinating stuff.

Query: Where's the best Melbourne venue to go to for watching this draft? Any ideas guys?

read quite a few posts, so here is my 2c worth...
we are in a great position with 4 picks
trust sos & co to do their job, but i would love:
1. weitering
8. weed/ francis/ oliver - in that order. we only need another club to select another bolter then we can swoop with one of these guys
11. oliver/ h mckay
19. gresham/ burton/ hibberd

expecting 2 talls & 2 mids

Wasn't last years the same though? McCartin and Petracca not set, and then most of the top 20 being largely interchangeable (Laverde and Boekhorst being top 10 prospects for instance).

No. Nothing like this.

Most had the top three nailed but even moreso the subsequent picks.
Just seems as though this draft can go anywhere.

Seems to have a great well-rounded game. Has great vision and poise on the inside, decent hands and good awareness.

The Top 10-15 really will come down to the recruiters interpretations and positional needs.

Milera doesn't seem to have any issues with his work rate and unlike Menzel is an 80% mid, 20% forward.
Just so we can put this debate to rest too;

0.03 - Strong, front on tackle to halt the play and force a stoppage.
0.10 - Fast, in-close handball while under pressure to a team-mate
0.20 - Solid, front on bump knocking over an opponent and striking the ball over the boundary line
1.02 - Fast handball through two opponents to find a target
1.18 - Shrugs a tackler to find an a team-mate on the outside
2.23 - Centre clearance - quick handball to a team-mate running full-tilt
3.00 - Contested possession
3.14 - Centre clearance - quick handball back to a team-mate
3.33 - Quick hands under extreme pressure to a team-mate
4.25 - Three efforts after being first to the ball against 3 WA opponents
4.43 - Dispossessing tackle to win a free kick
5.16 - Evades three and then gets a handball out to a running team-mate while being tackled
5.25 - Releases a handball backwards while being tackled

For an outside player his inside skills and poise under pressure are exceptional.

This herein ends the baseless hyperbole and misguided profiling of him.

Thanks for going the extra mile LA !
At the very least, he's an instant replacement for Menzel

Too much effort to view the clip so I will just assume that you are wrong and continue with my uninformed opinions :p
