We need 2 great backs
Jammo is 30 this year
Rowe is 29 this year
White is 28 this year
Collins over McKay any day if 5 or 6 years is our window we need weitering and Collins now
They are saying the hawks are looking at Collins because lake is gone , we need a lake way more than the hawks do at the moment. There are plenty of mids to choose from IMO Oliver, matheson, partington

I wouldn't call it a shame but there's very little discussion on the boards for Weitering & Schache.

Francis is a lock for * I reckon. He wants them, they want him....and will likely want anyone with half an inch of talent who actually wants to play for them.

Geez I've heard Francis bring compared to dal santo but this is ridiculous.

Last year many were discussing McCartin and Petracca but very little chat for the above-mentioned.

By the same token, lets look at it like a blessing in disguise. We'd be likely to pick the wrong one if there were multiple choices for pick 1. Instead, if Weitering doesnt make it.....we can at least point to the general consensus that he was the best junior by miles, and blame our development instead of your recruiters.

Sounds like Weitering only had two interviews at the combine. Either the stand out player this year or so bad that no one even wants to interview him .....

I don't think we will take a slider. Carlton has the tendency to lock in who they want, and then take them regardless.

I have this feeling we have already locked in H.McKay at 8 and Tucker at 11. This is not my ideal scenario but will go with the new recruiting team in whoever they decide on.

Pick 19 is a real roll of the dice. Be prepared to be disappointed, that;s all i'm saying.

Last year i'd had a few drinks pre-draft, I sobered up very quickly when we read out Boekhurst name

Worked terribly for Hawthorn taking Roughhead early ahead of Franklin...

Roughhead was a natural footballer that was highly rated.

The players that we seem to "reach" for are the player that bloomed late. Only took up the game later. Only decided to take footy seriously later. McKay (whilst has way more potential) another case of reaching for a "raw" or "late blooming" player which I would prefer to avoid.

Cal Twomey knows his stuff. If Weideman makes to 8 though, we would take him there. Won't get passed melbourne at 7 though.

I'm personally hoping for Weitering, Weideman, Curnow and Gresham at 19.

McKay is bottom age, turns 18 a week before 2016. His bottom age year was better than Schache's supposedly so his potential is higher.

Adelaide will take either Milera or Burton at their pick so we aren't worried about them taking Curnow before our 11. They want an SA boy.

I think the honest answer here is there are no top-line mids and Schache is dominant without necessarily being exceptional. His performances are good, but it is is less clear what AFL trait will set him apart. Not a great endurance athlete, not a super quick lead, not exceptionally strong. Clever and a good kick yes, but no real point of difference
