Very much so. Hopefully we nab someone good with our first pick. God knows who thats likely to be though. The talking down of this draft hasn't really inspired much excitement to be honest. At this stage I couldn't even tell you when the draft is.

Not telling anybody anything that they don't already know, but our draft is kind of:

1] Treloar
2] Aish
3] Pick 27...bonus

:D

No doubt. We filled our boots in trade week which makes the draft a bit underwhelming. But you cant have everything I suppose.

Surely it's more than a slight concern that in his write up of Bailey Rice (ranked at #37) he says that he (Rice) is one of the few in the draft that you can say is generally a good kick.

Does seem like there's a lot of NQR types this year.

I am finding it hard to get enthused this year.

Yeah the draft experts and watchers have made comment that the kicking skills of this crop are not its strong suit. It's why Riley Bonner has shot up the rankings. An elite ball user.

Lucky we brought Treloar and Aish in

Willing? They didn't have a choice in the matter.

They did not HAVE to do any Trade. Yes they get nothing but still did not have to do it

Be enthusiastic that we didn't trade into the draft like the last two years then :P

Knightmare I see Oliver is your McKenzie of this years Draft. That is someone you Rate lot higher then most people.

What is you love about Oliver?

C.Oliver is my guy this year and I see him as a chance to become the best player in this draft class.

Nice height, strong body. Improved rapidly this season. Production strong. Contested ball winning numbers and stoppage work among the best in the draft. But on top of that has the pace/agility/endurance and the cleanness skills by hand and foot. He can push forward, take marks and hit the scoreboard.

C.Oliver while he hasn't received universal credit for it, but he may be the most complete midfielder in this draft and he could if things really go right be the Oliver Wines of this draft.

Unless they wanted to lose him for nothing, then yes, they HAD to trade him. You said GWS were willing to trade him. Willingness had nothing to do with it. Their hand was forced.

Well, That is always a Chance or they Back themselves in to Possibly Re-Signing Him.

There is no rules that says you HAVE to trade a Player. Even IF They Demand it and are out of Contract.

You're being pedantic. Face it, GWS' hand was forced, it had nothing to do with them being willing to let him go, same as our hand was forced with Beams.

Forced by the Player and be Stupid not to do a Trade but I am saying there is no Rule that says you Have to do a Trade

Of course there isn't. Doesn't mean GWS were willing to let him go without a fight. They were hardly a willing participant.

Of Course GWS put a Fight Up. That why it took to the 2nd Last Evening to get the Trade Paperwork Thru. IF they did not put a Fight up the Trade would be done in the 1st few days.

I was saying with Hooper and Matthews to very Highly Rated Prospects in the Draft gave them a Reason to Okay the Treloar Trade.

They Loose a Star they did not want to lose in Treloar but the Trade will allow GWS to get Both Hopper and Matthews. That was Incentive to put the Trade Thru

Enthused can be seen two ways.
The female version of "Enthused" was not a very good racehorse trained by the late Bart Cummings she had 3 starts for a best 10 th place in Goulburn, I was there that day for some reason. She was sold off to be a hack in the bush. Had the same father as Makybe Diva and there ends the similarities.
"Enthused" the male was a Hong Kong horse, was very good.

So you can be enthused in either way good or not good, i can understand your poor enthused nature of this draft.

$1.20 odds that Hine says post draft, "we were really pleased (insert name here) fell to us" and something along the lines of "we had him higher on our draft board" or "we didn't expect him to be there at our pick".

Bookmark it.

17 other club recruiters will be saying the same thing on draft night.

Just waiting for the first guy to say, gee we fkd that up, and for the interviewer to say 'so u think they are all hacks and wont make it?'

Callum Moore sounds like a Interesting Prospect and someone we might take with out 1st Pick

I know that it is only a 3 minute clip but geez Callum Moore looks to have a lot to work with.

Great mark and a three monster goals from outside 50 metres on the run. The one at 1:30 after marking, turning and playing on is super impressive for a bloke of 193cm. Reminds me a little bit of Johnno Marsh's highlights clip the year we picked him late. Brett Anderson has queries on his kicking but from the small sample in that clip it doesn't look that horrible.

I would be very happy to land him with either our 2nd or 3rd pick. Even worth a possilbe trigger pull at 27 if the ones we want are gone.

I'm thinking we might see a surprise selection by Carlton with Schache at #1. With so many picks inside 20 they might look to sort out their forward line for a decade with Schache and Weideman taken with their first two selections. Then they might aim for K Collins as a key back with some attacking traits to go with that GWS kid they just took. Can't recall his name but wasn't traded due to inability, just too much competition.
If they do take Weideman I'm personally going commit to following him and constantly booing so he has an excuse to cross to us once his first two years are up.
