So what are we looking at tomorrow night???

2 live picks and frost upgraded?

Is that it?

We have up to 5 Live Draft Picks

Just saw that Geelongs first pick is like pick 60 odd. And people say we traded away our future. Holy crap.
I piss myself laughing every time I hear that line. We hit the draft hard for 3 years and then trade for two first round talents under 22 years old, while maintaining a top 30 pick and we've somehow traded away our future, yet Geelong, filled with geriatrics, trade for two players in their prime and pick up a FA, as if they're going to be contenders next year, whilst trading out of the first 3 rounds.

Yes. Yes, we are the ones trading away our future... :drunk:

Timmy from Thomastown He might be but probably more of a chance to be added in the rookie draft.

Hine video just up on the Pies website says we have scope to take 3-5 players in the draft.

Best available at all picks but if there isn't much between a choice of players they may go needs basis.

Also hinted at mature types and the scope to add DFAs after the draft once the landscape is clearer.

So would Moloney and Marcus Adams are good Chances of being Drafted?

Draft results 2015.

Adam Treloar
James Aish
Jeremy Howe
Pick 27
A few other picks.

So far we are nicely infront

Yep and all they got for that is Dangerfield who whilst being a star is almost four years older than Treloar. The other players they picked are pretty meh. Henderson no spring chicken either...they gave up a 2016 first round for him!

Don't forget they've also traded out their first rounder for next year for Henderson. Lollll

I prefer to think of 2014/15 combined and Treloar the direct beams replacement.

Then it's
Pick 7 (De Goey )
Crisp
Greenwood
Treloar
Aish
Howe
Moore (freebie via father son)
Pick 27
Maynard

All for
Beams
2015 first rounder
2016 first rounder
Freeman,Seedsman,kennedy

Do we need medium marking forwards?
Its a valid question. With Fasolo, Howe and Elliott (medium-ish), it'll be a tough gig for an 18yo to crack a game. If he's considered the best available though, I suppose you just take him and let him develop in the twos

That summary just says to me that Hine really doesn't rate the kids that much this year. I reckon we'll be lucky to draft 1, maybe 2 18 y.o's. Will be interesting to see how it plays out

Thts the one that is madness imo. He might go a bit better at Geelong but I can't help but recall him not even touching the ball against us last year. And a couple other games where he was equally as useless.

In fairness, 90% of posters seem to try to pot Goodyear, so it's not surprising your post was interpereted that way.

Fwiw, I reckon Matty will surprise a few this year if he's played on the ball rather than out of position.

Other than Goodyear puns I haven't heard much about all year except that he improved at the end of the season when he was playing in the midfield.

I get inconsistent reports on his ball use but am excited by his speed.

Actually I think its a good move by Geelong if they play him in the backline, he's a useless forward but down back he can play on a man and intercept mark. With Lonergan and Taylor getting older it makes sense to get him.

Definately a backman. He was probably a bit of a victim of Carltons necessity to play him at both ends.

The question is whether they paid too much for him. He's a capable enough player but not exactly a spring chicken and no superstar.

I'm nitpicking, but JDG was pick 5.

If your challenging given Geelong's recruitments its seems like they are you do what you can to improve your best 22.

I wouldn't be too unhappy with that.

Two tallish (6 foot 1) utilities who could play high HF and a super quick small forward.

He has Fiorini, Dunkley, Ben McKay, Aidyn Johnson and Tom Cole off the board before our first pick; so Redman looks a solid pick as he is in most experts top 30 power rankings. Mountford or Partington are still there and could be options.

I wouldn't have minded a tall at 60 but Skinner, Matthew Allen and Callum Moore where all gone by our 2nd pick so I could live with Phillips. Seems a competitive beast with some x-factor. Marcus Adams mature KP type from WA could be on the cards for us here.

As for the small; Hardwick is gone so Eades is a good pick. He doesn't have Kerbatieh going in the ND. Hopefully we could get a look at him at 7 in the rookie.

Tom Doedee could also be another chance for us late.

his comment on twitter was that he thought kerbatieh was one dimentional, which i find astonishing
