Has lost a bit of appeal for me this year coming into it in the late 20s (then 50 plus) but will still be watching on with interest to see where the players I like end up going and who we end up with.

The live bidding will make it more interesting (maybe more confusing) too.

Best available at 27 then needs picks (speed and small crumbing forward) late.

No arguments here. Maybe an effort like the Tigers had when they last had 5 of the top 20. They got Deledio, but the rest were busts

I'm in the same boat, no great interest in the draft from a collingwood perspective. Just hope there is a slider we can capitalize on

Very much so. Hopefully we nab someone good with our first pick. God knows who thats likely to be though. The talking down of this draft hasn't really inspired much excitement to be honest. At this stage I couldn't even tell you when the draft is.

Better then the 2009 to 2011 Draft where we had nothing more then a 3rd Round to use on Kids.

At least we have a Top 30 Pick to keep it a bit Interesting

Based on Emma Quayle and Cal Twomey's rankings it appears after the top 15 or so, it varies quite a bit through to 30.

Every chance most recruiters will also differ through this range. Given we're likely to end up picking around the 31st/32nd ranked player, we should still land a decent kid where we could expect a longer term career with us.

I'd like to see a bit of pace added, so any kid with decent disposal and a bit of pace ranked around there, would be nice.

The later picks really appear hail Mary's in this draft, so really no great expectation there. I wouldn't be against some mature age, depth guys.

Had been hoping to snare Ben McKay with our first, but he's gone in the past few weeks from being a mid second round prospect, to early second, to late first...

Don't really want Skinner, as he's a key defender rather than the swingman McKay is.

I guess I should just be happy with Treloar and Aish, but I'd really been hoping for a reasonable key forward prospect to compliment Moore this year...

Pretty much every recruiter will get a player who they rated higher on their board. It's just the nature of the draft.

Here are his ratings of ones likely to be available at or around our first pick:

Tom Cole (24), Brayden Fiorini (27), Aidyn Johnson (28), Mason Redman (29), David Cunningham (30), Dan Rioli (32), Ben Crocker (33), Josh Dunkley (35), Blake Hardwick (39), Tom Phillips (40)

According to him we could forget about these who have been mentioned in this thread :

Surely it's more than a slight concern that in his write up of Bailey Rice (ranked at #37) he says that he (Rice) is one of the few in the draft that you can say is generally a good kick.

Does seem like there's a lot of NQR types this year.

I am finding it hard to get enthused this year.
