Fair enough mike123 but my point is if our recruiters draft a player better than what we have even if it not a "need" then I am all for it.

The truth is I have no idea about the draft but as long as the players we get improve the Pies I am all for it whatever position that is.

I think Hine has said it will be 3 live picks then the Frost upgrade. Also two more list spots open to take extra picks if there is someone left we really like after that. Just means 1 less rookie pick for each additional selection. Just like we did with Johnno Marsh. We were intending to be finished in theta draft by then but couldn't pass him up at 77.

Put aside the players GWS might have picked; the players they've traded away are not showing much. O'Rourke is unsurprisingly struggling to break into the Hawthorn side, no shame in that, but Plowman got traded for a packet of chips and Jaksch hasn't been able to get a game at the wooden spooners. It is mathematically possible that these guys are late bloomers, but the odds are against it.

Plowman and Jaksch have had injury issues so jury still out on them.

O'Rourke needs to show something in 2016 or his time at the Hawks may be limited. Back their record for identifying talent at other clubs.

In fairness, 90% of posters seem to try to pot Goodyear, so it's not surprising your post was interpereted that way.

Fwiw, I reckon Matty will surprise a few this year if he's played on the ball rather than out of position.

Fwiw i think he may surprise also......BUT at end of day just because he is a Collingwood player doesnt mean his a gun.....jury is out....time will tell

Last bloke picked and only been on the list for a year...Goodyear is a pretty soft target to pot. He only looks bad (on paper) because of the great success we have had already with the three guys taken before him..they are the exceptions, not him.

You would think so (and our opinion is the list needs them) but Dekka and crew may see things differently depending on who is available and who they rate. I suppose we will find out tomorrow night.
