That was actually one of the first things I thought.....Eagles well aware of the heat, used to it, and just trying to "get thru" the first half close as possible, and can then come home with a wet sail as the Hawks fatigue, drop off....especially as the Hawks have expended a lot more energy than the Eagles.
I'm going to go out on a limb here in the desperate hope that you might be right.

Eagles are no chance.

Eagles only chance to get back into the game is to ramp up the pressure on the ball carrier & make Hawthorn kick to a contest. 27 tackles in a half is not good enough. You can't play unconested footy in a grand final.
Spot on. Hawthorns mark tally is a good look for them at the moment.

Yes, Frawley is having a good game - I will admit that. But, imagine him playing on Lockett/Ablett/Dunstall at their peaks - pants down.
Well you could say that about any defender playing in the league, The fact is when Frawley is played in the right position he is a very good defender he showed that at Melb when we got pumped every week.
