I was keeping a distance eye on the race, but really only saw the last 2 hours when I returned from a family function.
That last 20 minutes or so (after the safety car for the Brabham smash) was more exciting than the finish of last years Supercars race. Not because the Nissan came out on top (although that helped), but because they was such a large variety of cars involved and a large number of slower vehicles between the top 2 and chasing bunch. And then the final few laps by Chiyo were just extraordinary.

Dumb question, but why are these cars handicapped? I've never seen anyone put hurdles in front of Usain Bolt before in the 100m sprint.

We did it for BigFooty. The mainstream popularity of this race has to start somewhere. This race's presence has barely begun. It'd be at least 5 years before this thread is close to half of the B1000 one. Hopefully, there can be a banner advertising this thread on the front page of BF one day. Just gotta chip away at it.
